Hello all! This is the EggCave Endangered Species Tracker! Some species are less common than others, and some species are much less common, to the point where their alive population is only in the double digits. The purpose of this page is to track all living instances of our game's rarest species, by population metrics (not by the "endangered" species still available via the Oasis). As of March 5th, 2026 at 3:19AM ECT, the EST has tracked all living instances* of the 3 rarest retired species: the Vulkan, the Dytoroko, and the Turtlebrella. Additionally, by live tracking of the Prisceil population, the estimated population of 6 more species has been determined. More species will be tracked in time. Vulkan: 35 living instancesDytoroko: 37 living instancesTurtlebrella: 39 living instancesIlknis: Between 39 and 42 living instancesYill: Between 39 and 42 living instancesArdapell: Between 42 and 44 living instancesOrmhovod: Between 42 and 44 living instancesLessama: Between 42 and 44 living instancesPoppy: Between 44 and 45 living instancesPrisceil: 45 living instances* do note that these numbers cannot yet be exact, as the method used for identifying living instances does not account for creatures that have died and were resurrected using a Resurrection Stone, as that assigns a new egg ID.

@spookyfrog Please ask the people who own these creatures if they want them on a public list. Some people hide creatures on side accounts to keep them from evolving so they can freeze them in certain stages.

Update 1: March 4th, 12:09 PM:Last night, the Prisceil rarity ranking was #1220. This morning, there were 2 more Prisceil created and the rarity ranking is now at #1217. After manually checking the creature IDs (i did this manually, no scripts used), I was able to find 42 Prisceils that were created before I logged off last night. Thus, it can be determined that there are 42≤x≤44 of each Lessama, Ormhovod, and Ardapell, and 39≤x≤42 of Yill and Ilknis. The original page has been updated with this information. This means that there are several species with the same amount of living instances. so my next question is how does the website handle tiebreakers? are they ordered alphabetically? which one is older?I have taken down the lists of all living instances of Vulkan, Dytoroko, Turtlebrella, and Ilknis while I go about reaching out to owners of these creatures. The lists will be added once I can confirm that the owners consent to this.If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you for visiting the Endangered Species Tracker!
