Summer of Updates?

I'm just kind of blabbing, feel free to give your own input :]

So Flight Rising just got some big QOL improvements, most notably an improvement in response times. In addition to that, they introduced multiple forms of dark mode, one of them being a sort of grey mode that is in between dark and light mode.
The response time improvements are pretty astronomical. I had noted before on other threads here that both my computer and phone get hot using Flight Rising and Egg Cave, and that I speculate it may be due to the action of rapidly loading hundreds of webpages (on FR this is from bonding with familiars, and on Egg Cave it's from feeding creatures.) The response time improvements have improved this issue for me (although they still get warm because my devices just aren't top-tier and are older.)
With Flight Rising, I honestly never expected these improvements since it seemed pretty stagnant for a very long time.

I've been really excited and hopeful for Egg Cave since seeing the planned account security improvements. One thing I've noticed is there seems to be a pretty substantial uptick in bot activity on all these pet collecting browser sites lately. At least on websites that display how many users (and what types, like registered users and visitors) are currently viewing the site, it's pretty shocking the jump in numbers lately. Some of these sites, I'm wondering if there are attempted DDoS attacks in addition to attempted account-break ins from bots. So the account security improvements that are coming for Egg Cave make me feel very hopeful!

I think this is also the right place to start with site improvements. I'm really hopeful for QOL improvements down the line. I have no idea what it's like to actually implement this stuff on a website and get it all working correctly, but to see any improvements being actively made is exciting and livens the website up.

What other websites similar to Egg Cave have made improvements lately, and what kinds? How do you feel Egg Cave compares to other pet collecting sites? And for the long-time users on here, how has the announcement of account security improvements made you feel about the future of Egg Cave?

Big changes. Like login changes. Make me a little nervous. They probably shouldn't but they do. Overall increased seems to be very important and is a good thing. For collecting pets, I really like this site. The number of new things is consistent and not overwhelming. I love the variety and art here. I do wish we could click on previously used backgrounds and reapply them. That could be so fun. Adding a small area where we could write notes or a story could be fun too. As well as optional to use. Overall, I wouldn't change much.
