I'm finding chocolate boxes

So when I feed some creatures from the click exchange, sometimes I find a chocolate box. But then they don't show up in my inventory. Where are they going?

It's a fairly rare, but not unheard of before, glitch.

The chocolate boxes are part of the Chocotravaganza Exchange which runs in February. During the event you collect the boxes by feeding any creature and trade them with other players, spending the ones you receive in a prize shop.

However outside that 2 week period, they should not appear and so are just a glitch. They go no where, and do nothing.
