One thing.
I only want one thing.

My room changed from carpet to linoleum.

I've wanted it for a while now, but I decided to ask for it for Christmas, when I was cleaning up the floor and it was taking forever XD

With 3 birds and a rabbit if your room, who are all messy, I just wish I could sweep the mess up

What do you want?

@cafe LOL XD I have no idea O_o I kinda want to save for an IPad, just so I can say I have one X) I go around asking my friends what it IS, and they tell me it's like a giant iPod touch. Which I have, so it kinda sounds like a waste of money huh X) X) X)
Maybe I'll just tell my parents to put it towards the 3ds i'll get later, when a few more things come out.
or just ask for the cash 😊

@mangyrawr

I'd advise away from birds
[Bigger ones, I mean, like cockatoos or parrots]
They're emotional basket cases. I know, I have three xD
But, ours were abused.

For a little bird, I'd suggest a cockatiel or parakeet. They're loud, but they can sing pretty.

But, if you get one, realize birds aren't really "pets". They're never fully tame, and can turn on you any time they're in a bad mood. [Thats why I say little also. Their bites don't hurt bad]

I've been bit by all my birds XD
I've had Cindy hang off my arm as I tried to get her to her cage.

Now, on the lighter side of bird.
Wanna see my baby, Cindy? She's dancing to music x33

Cindy
❤️ My sweet little crazy birds.

And sorry about that little thingie up there xD I've made a habit of telling people how I'd advise them not to get birds; because they don't know what they're in for when they get them. [IE -Look at the baby cockatoo! He looks so cute! Imma get him! //When cute little cockatoo grows up// I can't take it any more! He's always screaming, bites me, that's it! He's gone!//

But, little birds I think are okay. Because they're easier to handle.

I have two cockatiels. Who love to sings..in the morning...when I'm trying to sleep... //Twitch//

I want.... CC!! //smacked// xD
But yeah, I'd like that actually 😋

Or a pet budgie. At least a pet that wouldn't hurt so much when it bites you... *eyes African Grey lurking in the corner* >3<

But just the gift of time would be really nice... //dies from overload of work & no time for art// D:

@Lyricgeek

Sounds like you'd like something not caged.

Like, not having to maintain a cage.

If that, I'd say a cat. Or a bunny. If you an litter train it. But then you'd have to bunny proof the house.

If you have your own home and land. You could do a dog. We never...clean up... After them - we have our own land. Justwatchwhereyousteplolol

Can you give a discripton of your home?

How old are you?

@icymuffin

LOLOLOL
YOU HAVE AN AFRICIAN GRAY?!?!

xD

I find that funny cause, when I got Cindy they had an Africian Gray. It made a gun shot noise, and my mom ended up jumping ontop of me to "protect" me. As everyones laughing, I'm trying to tell her it's a bird.

Im younger then 14, i can tell you that xD I have an outside bunny 😸 He's the sweetest little thing, never nips or bites you and will run up to you when he hears you and 'begs' for food at your feet 😃 I wish he was an indoor bunny but my dad is allergic to fur =/ The upstairs of my house is all carpet while the downstairs part of my house is wooden- it's a fairly big house and my room is upstairs.

I can understand advising people not to get birds as pets, but I still think that they're among some of the greatest pets to have, as long as you know what you're doing of course. ❤️

I've grown up surrounded by birds in the house, and they're just fantastic. Sure, they're noisy, messy, and can bite. But as long as you can learn to cope with that, it's worth it. 😊

*really wants a pet emu*
(saw an article in a newspaper about a family that had a pet emu in the house... and wow. Just wow.)

As for Christmas presents... ehh, not sure what I'm wanting this year. Probably just end up with money now, like I do most years. Seems to be the case when you're no longer a child, as people just don't know what to get you. XD I guess I'd like more art stuff though. Paint, canvases, new pencils, sketchbooks, all that jazz. ;D

No No No, I know xD That's why I have 5 ❤️ 1 cockatoo, 2 amazon parrots, 2 cockatiels.

I just want to let people know what they're in for, so they don't end up doing more harm than good. [I think you know, since you have birds, if not taken care of correctly they can become emotion wrecks]

Or, thinking they'll get basically a "Pet" [Sometimes, I think I'm my bird's pets.. But, birds will never be fully tame. They're more like children than animals]

It's just.. some people aren't right for birds. Like my cousin. And she said "I see how your birds love you, I'm gonna save up and get me one!"

I tackled her screaming no
//Coughs//

What kind do you have?

@cafe Ahh, that makes sense. 😊 I'm totally envious of your cockatoo, they're absolutely gorgeous birds. ❤️ I just watched the video you posted up there ^ and Cindy is amazing! XD

My family have never met anybody who didn't take care of their birds, as everybody we've come across just seem to adore them and spoil them rotten. 😋

We have:

1 timneh grey parrot
4 cockatiels
About a million budgies (okay, big exaggeration, but my mother breeds them)
1 magpie (I know they are supposed to be wild, but we raised this one because a woman (who didn't know what she was doing) brought him to us when he was a baby... he got out once, but came straight back to us so we kept him. ❤️) He's the tamest bird we own too, which is unusual considering. 😋

Then there are the outside birds:

4 turkeys
5 peacocks
5 geese
And the best... 150+ chickens! ❤️

*loves telling people about all our birds*

/end huge post.

@elluwah

Cindy's our most... personalitied bird xD

She hates everyone but me. Attacks them xD
Screams when she's alone
But she just a baby to me.

I spoil her xD

Her attitude problems come from how she's had an abusive past [Which is why I try to advise people against birds. Some have good intentions but can't handle them. So they...you know..yeah..]

Most of our animals are abused, we got them from rescuers.

My mom would probably be happy if I got rid of her [She's not an animal person xD She'd be happy with 1 dog] but she knows as long as I'm around so is Cindy.

@cafe She sounds just like my very first cockatiel, who we found in our garden. This was back in the 90's, so I was very young. But this little cockatiel took a shine to me, and attacked everybody else. And I absolutely adored him. ❤️

I think it's fantastic how you have got your pets from rescuers, we need more people like you in the world~ people who don't want them from the cute baby stages, but will look after them when they've had a bad past and probably aren't quite as friendly as they would be if you'd raised them yourself.

I guess it's good that you're warning people on here about how much looking after it takes to keep them. It's all well and good saying "oh wow, I want a parrot" or whatever, but people who are new to it often don't imagine just how much care they need. 😋

Don't get me wrong, if I could I wish I'd have had Cindy from a baby [1- She wouldn't have a bad past, 2- It would have been nice to see her as she grew, you know? xD]

And I would have named her something other than Cindy. xD But, as with all our birds, it was their names they knew.

Oh, speak of the devil and he shall come. She just tried to attack me xD
I have my bangs pulled up out of my face, which I do when I'm going to bed, so to her I'm a "different person" so, she tried to bite me through the bars. I know it's my fault, but she got a scolding. I try to show her when she's doing something wrong, so she knows it's wrong.

My mom heard and went "Cindy got in trouble~ Cindy got in trouble~"

I also do that every time I hear someone saying that. I almost face palm when I hear someone go "Oh, that's so cute! I want one!" I'm like OTL. It's not a doll people. Lolol I do it to strangers too.

Im thinking of recording Cindy's reaction to when my dad gets near here [As he's not scared of her] and then ask the shelter if they want me to show the affects of abuse on an animal when they need me to. :}

My mum had a funny encounter with a parrot once. She was standing in front of one's cage and he tugged on the back of her shirt, scared her, and started cackling like mad. xD

I dunno. Even though he bites hard & makes such a mess, mah Charlie bird is such a cutie. I luff him so. 😸
Anytime I come up to him, he coos. But I have no idea what that means since I taught him it & he hates me sometimes. x3

And then we have 2 little songbirds who are freaked out by him 😋

And we used to have 2 chicks, but my parents couldn't put up with them anymore so we had to give them away. D:
