Re-using travels is the thing that we really need.

You know, Neopets is definitely kinda sucky, but it has *sometimes* come up with a *few* good ideas. Such as reusable backgrounds.

(I feel more strongly about Neopets than "kinda sucky", but some users here do like the site.)

I don't know. I think there is a reason why this hasn't been implemented before; It has certainly been brought up in the past. Travels in Egg Cave and backgrounds in Neopets are two entirely different entities, first of all. If you're looking for a travel comparison from Neopets, morphing potions are really more accurate. They are usable only once, your pet's appearance changes, and then they are gone. Making travels reusable would be convenient in the short run, but it would also undermine the entire concept of the travel, and effectually kill travel rarity.
The degradation of rarity is, in my opinion, the primary reason the Christmas travels were retired. Ian intended for them to be incredibly rare but demand was nonexistent, and therefore they were constantly in stock. The retirement was a wake up call with the purpose of restarting classic travel rarities, but this will never be entirely possible with seasonal travels.
That ended up more rambling than I intended. In short, I myself have thought about this, it would certainly make my life easier, and yet I don't think that it's a very realistic option.
