Please tell me, should I write my speech?

I'm more of a writer than a researcher, but there's also the topic of designer baby type things, like being able to change the genetics of a baby so it looks exactly the way you want, maybe even stopping the world from having 'ugly' people.

That's just one I know of. 😊

I agree with a lot of what the people here are saying. Some parts of science are 'good', others are 'bad'. (Of course, it's more complicated than good and bad, but you know what I mean.) Personally I think science should be used for good, and that scienticts should stop testing products on animals. Animal cruelty is what I'm all about, and I think you should mention that in your speech. On the other hand, I think testing products on animals is useful. I think it would be better if people only tested on animals that are extremely common, like mice and rats. I wouldn't test it on rabbits or monkeys. Lots of species of monkeys are growing rarer and rarer. I also think mentioning cloning in your speech would be interesting. Finally, I think you have chosen a very interesting topic. It will be hard to write about it, but the end result should be amazing.
