I got a C+.My very first C.Omg.On a math quiz.This is horrible...I should have studied more. ☹️And parent teacher conferences are tuesday, my parents are going to kill me.☹️
rosey77 • 4 November 2011 at 7:29 PM
@whitefall Aww...☹️ I'm glad you feel open enough about it to share it. I'm really sorry.I hope your parents understand that it's just one quiz. It's not that bad. A C+.. it's almost a B-! Just keep studying and I'm sure you'll improve, but you're still great. Just remember that you're always awesome!
nkiay • 4 November 2011 at 7:30 PM
It's okay! 😊 hug you will do better next time
balletninja • 4 November 2011 at 7:31 PM
@whitefall I do worse on mine,I got a 0% today.ENGLISH SUCKS!She makes us turn in stuff we did two weeks ago,half of us didn't even have it.
whitefall • 4 November 2011 at 7:34 PM
@rosey77But a B- is bad too. D:Bs are bad....O_O@balletninjaBut I don't care about anything except math! p:@nkaiyThanks, i hope I do too. >_<My final grade isn't too good... 92, which is an A-. ☹️
sky • 4 November 2011 at 7:34 PM
Well, I'm a bit happy with my grades.First quarter I had gotten D's and F's because of the tests and quizzes. This quarter I took the time in raising up my grades so I should have at least one A, and the rest C's and B's.Then again, I had Science and we took a test.I wasn't there on the day everyone got to study.Even so, I still had to do it. I know I'm gonna fail it.So my grade will drop to a D or worse, F.I'm not so worried about not having all A+'sI'm perfectly fine with having B's and C's.Unlike my two friends who just happened to always get A+'s on everything, only because one of them has a teacher as their mother.
whitefall • 4 November 2011 at 7:36 PM
@skyWell, you showed improvement! That's good.I'm getting worse.it's horrible.Used to get A+, now I'm getting Bs and look! - now a C+. D:I'm going to fail, and be a hobo on some street because I failed.
rosey77 • 4 November 2011 at 7:36 PM
@whitefall You're probably used to getting As. Just think.. other people may get C+s all the time. You're just lucky that you have a gift! 😃I get As usually and when I get like a B I get mad. ._. I should really stop doing that.
seaangel • 4 November 2011 at 7:38 PM
OH NO! I got one C on a test and it lowered my grade to a B. A B!!!!! I mean it's my first year in middle school. (My school starts one grade early so instead of 6th grade it's 5th grade that starts middle.) I'm just happy that I am on the A B honor role.
whitefall • 4 November 2011 at 7:39 PM
@rosey77;-;But still - I've nevr gotten a C. And I've gotten four Bs in math. My teacher mus tthink I'm stupid. D:Gah, curse you stupid advanced math. -_-I wish I was like in regular math...Where you get 3 problems on hw a day and learn about adding fractions instead of secant lines and f o g anf f o f and finding domains for functions. 😋
Deleted • 4 November 2011 at 7:39 PM
@whitefall your over reacting. I got at least 12 C's on papers and I still have a 95%
rosey77 • 4 November 2011 at 7:40 PM
@whitefall Stupid?! You're smart! D: I can totally tell! Just calm down.. you're still awesome.
whitefall • 4 November 2011 at 7:41 PM
@bluegirl80If I get a overall B, I get kicked out of Algebra II honors and get placed into Algebra I honors. o_OWith people who can't even divide big numbers. T^T

C+ The circle of... My name😊
sky • 4 November 2011 at 7:44 PM
@Whitefall - Mhm, thanks to one of my teachers I haven't seen since I was very little. I switched classes to be with her so she could help me with my work, of course I had to find a class I didn't need, which was Math Lab, just a class to learn basic math, I didn't need it since I knew all the stuff, I'm perfectly fine in Algebra as it is.I'm trying to put as much effort as I can into my work these days, otherwise if I were to fail my dad wants us to move back to where he and my mother grew up, and I'm not wanting to give up my friends to move so far away from them.B's and C's aren't all that bad.My dad didn't learn any of this stuff, and yet, he's getting paid bunches of money, he's actually the co-boss of his work place.

@Whitefall Im in algerbra I!!
zafeyry • 4 November 2011 at 7:47 PM
@whitefallDon't worry, I've been getting Cs in math. Mostly because my teacher sucks, everyone in my class and my sister last year and her friends think so too. I have a 90 overall so it's all good. And I'm in a special math program 😊 Our normal advanced for 7th grade is taking Pre-Algebra but I'm in a special class where we're taking Algebra. By the time we're seniors, we either take AP Stats or a class at Yale(the college).And what grade are you in? One C won't hurt.
whitefall • 4 November 2011 at 7:48 PM
@Sky - But I have know clue what I want to be when I grow up. So I have to try extra hard at everything, otherwise I might have bad grades in a subject, and want to become something involving that, and I would not get a schloarship to a good college and then never be able to become that. DxI'm trying to put effort in...But it's too much.My priority: Math, La, Orch, Science then SS. ^^I think they're bad...This is the first time I've gotten a C, and I've gotten a few Bs before, and hope to never again. *shudder*. >_<@bluegirl80What grade are you in?@zafeyryOh... Well aren't you the athletic user? *pushes aside* Anyway... 😉8th, and doing... Algebra II honors~
sky • 4 November 2011 at 7:52 PM
@Bluegirl80 - ...Same here.There's these kids that think they know everything and complain about how easy the work is, and it makes the others who struggle feel as if they were stupid.That's how I felt. Until we had to solve this math equation, they didn't know how to simplify it how I did, and when I wrote it up on the board, they had said, "The answers right, the equation is not.", the teacher had to explain to them that the equation is right, they just hadn't learned it yet.Still, they act as if they know everything.The teacher told them that not one single student has a perfect grade in the class, so they really shouldn't be talking.
Deleted • 4 November 2011 at 7:55 PM
@Sky I know. I understand it all but when I tell the teacher my answer then they say "THATS NOT RIGHT ITS MORE THAN OR EQUAL TO!" when I meant to say that. I mean my grade for math was a 99%! Everyone else said they had Low A's or Bs. Only one person said they had a 96%
zafeyry • 4 November 2011 at 7:59 PM
@whitefallDon't get over emotional about it. Some girl in my class forgot her SPANISH homework and cried from 4th period to the end of the day(4 hours). And Spanish is the easiest class, and one 5 point homework won't even ruin a 100.
whitefall • 4 November 2011 at 8:00 PM
@sky@bluegirl80I complain how hard the work is. owoIt's just too much... if I have a lot of math hw, I wish the other classes would have less hw so I good balance it out and not freak out. But it always seems like there's a billion assignments every single day. D;I hate 8th grade...I know high school gets worse. Dx
Deleted • 4 November 2011 at 8:00 PM
@whitefall I get geometry in 8th
whitefall • 4 November 2011 at 8:03 PM
@bluegirl80You're more advanced than me. ^^Hm...Or maybe your curriculum is arranged differently?Nah.You live near Yale, so you HAVE to be advanced! D:@zafeyryI forgot my Spanish homework also! But I finished in class and got full score. But I told the teacher I couldn't find it. Eh.... *guilty* xD
sky • 4 November 2011 at 8:04 PM
@Whitefall - Nor do I. People have told me that I should become an artist, I refuse to that for personal reasons only.People also say that I should become an author, I'm still iffy on that, but I know that when I'm writing a story, I never am able to complete it unless it were to be assigned to me, and sometimes I just get too carried away with it.And my other option is being a photographer, but my parents aren't liking the idea of that.I currently have:A days: Civics, Social Studies, Algebra, and ScienceB days: Photography, English, Algebra, and GYMFreshman year is one of the most important grades to earning your dream job, so this is my freshman year and I'm wanting to get my grades up as possible.But I'm not as worried, really.As long as I'm in the A-C range, I'm good.
Deleted • 4 November 2011 at 8:05 PM
@Whitefall No I dont.. xDDDD Lol. But we have algebra II in high school. XD
whitefall • 4 November 2011 at 8:05 PM
@skyMy goal for high school -A to B range. o_OUp to senior year.Senior year = A.@bluegirl80Oh. I feel better now. xDBut you said classes from Yale...?
zafeyry • 4 November 2011 at 8:11 PM
@whitefallI'm taking a class at Yale as a senior or AP Statistics. I live in a suburb of New Haven (where Yale is) so it's like 15 minutes away. And I'm kind of freaked out because New Haven is the 4th most dangerous city in the US and we have to drive through it a lot for soccer; especially the bad part.
sky • 4 November 2011 at 8:15 PM
@Whitefall - To be honest, I find High School more easier then Middle School. That's because of how my school runs. I'm wanting to go to Art Institute in California, but I know that it costs a lot of money to be there.My grades in Algebra were doing perfectly fine until I took a quiz. Here, tests and quizzes are 40% of your grade, homework is 20% of your grade. I was quite disappointed after finding myself with an F in that class, but I'm all good, my last quiz/test I got a 100%.
zafeyry • 4 November 2011 at 8:19 PM
@skyAlgebra's terrible, right? My teacher had 10% of our test on stuff she never taught us. Oh well, as long as I can keep my 90 overall grade until Thursday when our term ends.
