After no response he smiled, "Good. Man, I thought she would have fallowed us to this point already. Persistent, Clarissa is. But no one can resist me," He laughed at his own haughtiness. "Anyways, anyone see a light yet?"

"Sure, thanks, can I call ya Cassie?" He didn't wait for a response, "Good. Wait I have an idea." He screamed, a bloodcurdling scream. "Ha, she will have to come now. Once she thinks we are in trouble she will come runnin'," he explained.

Cassandra grins and says, "Sure." Then, she quickly covers her ears. "Why do you want her to come?!"

She, still waited. That stupid scream seemed so girlie, and she knew that girl wouldn't scream. She didn't seem like the type. It was probably Lucas, trying to gt her attention. It seemed as though he liked her, but she wasn't open for relationship.

"I have a feeling we are going to need some help... " He paused and looked above his head, it looked almost like a huge bat. More owl like. He hated owls more than anything. "Have you... Ever heard the story of this forest?" He gulped and his voice quivered. He looked around, Jasper was MIA and it seemed as if he was alone. "Oh god," He blurted out. He had never felt this weak.

No more rustling came from their direction and she saw two other figures walking away. Probably Cassandra and Jasper. "Ha, he's all alone," Clarissa smiled. Then it went away and she started for his direction with a sigh.

"No this can't be happening, I can't be alone," He said weakly. He looked above to see the red hideous eyes peer down on him. "Stop looking at me!" He yelled at the beast.

Cassandra senses trouble, but restrains herself and blocks all senses from her mind. She wished that Jasper would come back, so she could talk to him.

The boy's hollering now. Clarissa rolled her eyes. 'And he acts so tough when I'm around' she thinks. She reaches him while he's staring at a bat with a panicked look.

The owl now lands on the ground. A near 7 feet in height and Lucas didn't even want to know how big the wingspan was. He sensed Clarissa. "Don't move," He said in a deep voice, "He can and will kill any second."

"An owl? How so?" But then she saw the height. No owl was that big.

"I guess you have never heard about this forest," He then added on, "Well the legend of the forest." The owl was still. "This forest is known, for man eating owls." He sighed and was about to turn around when the owl moved toward him. "The real reason I was down here was to get you out of the forest before dark to avoid.. Well this. But I became sidetracked."

"Just run, then." Clarissa was frantically moving her eyes, trying to get eyes to adjust to the dark. But the owl, scared her just too much.

She got there quick enough that the owl's screech was heard through the walls. A few students peeked through their windows. Clarissa smacked herself against the doors and fell inside. She got up and locked the doors quickly, the owl's screech getting louder. Clarissa fumbled with the keys but the doors were locked before the owl was out on the edge of the woods. She turned and asked Lucas, "Are you alright?"
