I mean it in the nicest way when I say crying over your issues and making loads of topics about you being "depressed" about your life won't make it better. Instead of whining about it you could do something like talk to a new group of people or start being friendlier. And I really sort of care about your feelings. And I'm not a mean person, because on Friday I sat with the girl who is about to commit suicide at lunch. Sorry if I sound mean to you 😊 So how about we post on here what were grateful for instead of posting about the negative points in life πŸ˜ƒ

hey, I have an idea. Instead of posting about how were all depressed we could post what we have to be thankful for. 😊

@hawk_fan
That's a great idea and it's a lot better than my semi-heartless post.

@zafeyry - Some people just need to talk about it with other people. It helps.

And talking about the good things sort of erases your problems, right?

Some people need to talk about it. And some of us are just pessimistic.πŸ˜‹

I think the reason that nobody talks about their awesome day is because they don't want to boast or brag, and they think it might sound like they are.

@cqpkytty
That sounds like a good reason, maybe I should become a psychologist to learn more about it

Hmmm, I guess so... But I can understand how they're feeling, and if you're really an outcast "talking to a different group of people" is easier said then done, they'll just give you weird looks and ignore you....

And anyhow, aren't the people on eggcave a different group of people? :/

@zafeyry
I mean, what would it seem like to other people if you posted something like:

I Just Had The Most Amazing Day!

So, I woke up, and my mom made me pancakes! And then I won my soccer game 10-0! And then, when I went on Egg Cave, someone randomly gifted me an Onny! And I got 5 Mo's from the cave!

...xD I don't think that a day like that is very plausible xD But it's an example πŸ˜‹

I think people need to know that others care about their problems and can relate. Also, if you never talked to anyone about your problems, you would go crazy. Or at least thats how it is for me, not to sound negative. Also, I am not very outgoing. I have like 2-3 good friends because of that, and also because there are WAY to many cliques at my all girls school.

Deleted • 6 November 2011 at 2:36 PM

for some it just gets the weight off their shoulders =/ or they have to tell somebody or they might explode, and sometimes they just can't tell the people that are their family or friends in real lifeπŸ˜‹ Is there anything wrong with that? Just don't click on the topics with "☹️" in them and suchπŸ˜‹

Hey, my weight board was actually a celebration. Hope it didn't come off as whiny.πŸ˜‹

Deleted • 6 November 2011 at 2:44 PM

It's no biggie. People just need to get stuff off their mind.

Deleted • 6 November 2011 at 8:40 PM

Pity posts annoy me. But posts about just venting, like a place for everyone to share their problems instead of just one person, don't annoy me as much. xD

I guess it's easy to tell people to quit talking about their problems.

I had issues at my home a while ago. My heart was broken, I felt like I'd kill myself if I didn't talk. I almost did. (@Crooton1 you remember that) I was just really upset for a while back there.

There are some things people just *need* to make public, to state their feelings or to ask for some help with their issues. I'm starting to get my life in control with some advice from EggCave users. But I have nothing to complain about now, I'm out of that deep and depressed type of mood.

In some cases, it is absolutely fine to reach out to others and ask for guidance in your life. If people get annoyed with these topics just don't post in them instead of complaining, some people *like* to help.

But not every little thing has to be posted.
Such as 'I lost my favorite pair of socks!'.

@Crooton1 Well yeah. But that's different.

If you tell someone off when they're about to complain about running out of candy or something, then that's a ridiculous thing to complain about.

But say you told someone off who had life issues and was just about to kill themself because of it. That's a lot different.

Deleted • 6 November 2011 at 9:17 PM

@dreamer I remember that☹️ I also remember the time I co pletely lost in the blog, crying....

WE ARE NOT asking for pity, just for somebody to listen, to hear of voice. Be deaf to us if you please, it's not a crime to listen to those that just need to lift the weight. I don't even expect a response anymore. I just need to say it somewhere.

Deleted • 6 November 2011 at 9:53 PM

Someone should make a thread exclusively for this kind of stuff. Like, "Venting Thread" or something. I might do that.
