Miriam turned around "Oh, hi!" she called, before vigorously shaking the other girl's hand. Scintilla... that was her name....

"So, what brings you here? Did you get some kind of card thing?" she asked, leaving the other girl to fall down. She displayed hers, beautifully decorated with green markings "I really like mine!" she gushed "It's me to a T!"

Annibelle felt the cool shadow. It gave her energy. She felt that she was ready for everything.

I yawned and smiled. I was so tired from last night, although it was worth it. I went to see WICKED and then I met one of the stars. I was too tired to walk so, I just can floated on a cloud. Whoa, did I just I floated on a cloud of air. "Eeep!" I said.

Both the twins started walking towards the park when the sky started to glow

'umm Koda, are you seeing what I'm seeing?' Xai wondered, a little mystified.

'Yea, but it seems as though we're the only ones. No one else seems to notice.' Koda thought

Just then a card appeared in front of them. the card was a cool, dark purple with a white emblem in the center front, and the black emblem was in the back. The twins touched the card and it split! Xai got the front part of the card with the white emblem, and Koda got the back part of the card with the black emblem.

"You... are chosen, Guardians of mind control..." the voice called out to the twins. "When you are apart, you're powers are decreased significantly, but when you are together, your powers will be at it's highest. Remember it well. You are needed else where right now, so be prepared."

'wha. . . ?' both the twins looked at each other.

suddenly the two were mysteriously transported to an unknown field.

*oof!*

"Xai! You're heavy! Get off me!!!"

"oh! Sorry Koda."

They got up and checked the area.

"hey! people!" the twins ran towards the group who were heading towards the forest.

OOC/ in the beginning of the dialogue the twins were talking to each other in their minds

I saw a card and a voice scared me half to death. It said I was the guardian of air and I was suddenly on a field. I ran to other people and ran into a set of twins. We all fell down. "So, sorry." I said.

they almost caught up to the group until suddenly-

"AHH!" the twins both fell to the ground.

*sigh* 'this is the second time we've fallen to the ground Koda'

'yea, but why?'

they look and see there was a girl on the ground too. "So, sorry." she said.

"Nahh, it's all right. We should've seen you coming, are you all right?"

OOC/ can the twins not be affected by their own power? and in order for their power to be strongest, both have to say it at the same time

"I'm Nectorine. Soon, to be on Broadway." I said smiling. "I was getting ready to go on shopping spree but then I realize I was floating on a cloud of nothing. There was a whole voice and a card and now I guess I'am the Guardian of Air." I said.

"yeaa, well that happened to us too, without the -floating on a cloud- part, and the -broadway- part. Me and my brother are the guardians of mind control, but for us, our card split and now I have the front half and my brother has the back. Weird dontcha think?" Xai said.

"umm yea what she said. Mine has the black emblem on it, and my sis has the white emblem. I don't know what it means though." Koda thought for a sec.

'umm Xai do you think we should've told her all that info? It seems kinda strange to me. We're not supposed to be talking to strangers remember?' Koda thought to Xai

'yea, but she doesn't seem like the bad guy type. I'll keep in mind the stranger thing though. I totally forgot!'

'You do that a lot. I'm the one who has to keep reminding you!' Koda glanced at Xai.

Xai elbowed Koda in the gut. Nectorine was standing back wondering why Xai did that

"oh! by the way, my names DaKoda, Koda for short. and this is my sis Xai."

p.s. the twins still don't know about their power... yet.

"Cool, so should go with the group or wander on our own. I'm all for the group, just saying." I said sounding normal but still freaked out. I smiled and looked around. "By the way where are we?" I said.

I looked around at the people and no one looked like someone I knew. I bit my lip in fear and shyness. 'I wonder if those people are nice.' I thought.

"HEY! SOMEONE IN THIS GROUP! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY AND WHERE WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GOING!" Koda said at the top of his lungs.

'wow Koda, way to get the crowds attention.' Xai thought to Koda.

'hey, I'm pretty sure that's the best way to get answers!' Koda thought to Xai.

at that moment everyone in the group said "I know why and where we are going." as if they were commanded to answer him. Except for Nectorine, who said "I don't know."

"umm okayy. . . then tell me?" Koda wondered why everyone was acting that way.

Again everyone said, "we have to go to the mountains, through a forest, down a stream to a magical, bubbling, lava land. Then we can return to our lives."

"uhh thanks. . . ?"

everyone in the group returned to normal and asked Koda, "how did you do that?"

"I don't know. All I did was ask."

"Koda, I think it was because we are the guardians of mind control that you were allowed to do that." Xai explained.

"that makes sense" Koda replied. At that moment Koda began to feel dizzy. Wobbling a little from side to side.

"Xai, I feel. . . dizzy. . . and. . . tired." and Koda fell to the ground.

"Koda! get up! what's wrong with you!" Xai was worried. In that instant she felt a bit dizzy too.

'I wonder if it's because he used up a lot of power, that it's weakening the both of us. . . ' Xai thought.

And with that, the twins blacked out.

Everyone went on and I stopped. No one noticed like they had no heart. I gently blew on their faces waking them up.

Xai and Koda blinked their eyes a bit.

"thanks for waking us up" they both said, "where did everyone go?"

"up ahead." Nectarine said, "they didn't even stop to see if you guys were alright."

"that's strange. If anything they would crowd around and check to see if we were all right. Something's not right with this picture." Xai said.

"Let's keep following them, though. I think they know the way, and I don't want to stay here when things get dark." Koda told Xai and Nectarine.

'okayy, but if things get creepy in the group, then we're ditching.' Xai thought to Koda

'okay' Koda agreed.

the three caught up to the group.
