Okay, so I know compared to all the Ivy League-bound kids, this score is still pretty lame.😋 But hey, I'm me, the anxious test taker who was just interested in seeing herself improve, and I certainly did.So, first time I took my ACT: score of 22 all around.Second time: 26Yeah, a 4 point improvement!Go ahead, make fun of me. I know it's not a 30, but I'm okay with that. Now for the SAT results...dumdumdum.

Also, a tip for those of you about to take it/have already taken it/not pleased with your scores: I learned through much frustration that when applying to colleges, they look at A LOT more than a silly number on a test. Don't get me wrong, a decent score can help you, but don't downplay the power of GPA, extracurricular activities, teacher recs, etc. Also, don't go to Collegeconfidential to measure how you stand. The kids there seem to be very...vicious when it comes to scores and getting into Ivies, so of course they're going to tell you that you must have a 32 and nothing more. Talk to your guidance counselor for college help, as college is a lot more than a fancy name brand.
