Fullmetal Alchemist
(I've only watched brotherhood): This guy named Ed who's an alchemist tries to bring his mother back to life, even though it is forbidden. His brother, Al, loses his body and has to stay in a suit of armor, and Ed loses his arm and leg. (I didn't watch very much. xD)

Bleach
This dude named Ichigo meets Rukia, a soul reaper, somebody who kills hollows. The hollows are souls that became monsters and they eat other souls. The soul reapers also help souls go to the other side. Ichigo becomes a soul reaper. (Hard to explain. xD)

Ouran High School Host Club
There's this girl named Haruhi and everybody thinks she's a boy. Then she knocks over this really expensive vase and has to pay her dept by working as a host, a dude who helps entertain the girls. The other hosts find out that she's a girl but they decide to keep it secret.

The countries are represented by stereotypical dudes, and they have wars and stuff. xD

Pretear
Magical girl; There's this thing called leafe, which is basically life. The leafe knights have to protect it. Unfortunately, the princess of disaster (she's evil) goes around doing evil stuff with the leafe and everything. Himeno Awayuki, 16, is actually a Pretear, which means she has special powers. She and the leafe kights have to stop her.

Anime: Okay, a few people have already said Hetalia, but have you heard of Nichijou? (Some places it's calked My Ordinary Life or My Ordinary Life: Nichijou) It's a cute anime, it's about everyday life in japan with weird twists, like having an epic scene while trying to catch sushi or the principal wrestling a deer, I recommend it! I've recently started watching it and I luv it! ❤️
