Is it good or bad to have low iron?
Like everyone in my Physical Science class had high iron,
except me. >.>

@dawnie
Are you by chance on a diet?

Deleted • 13 November 2011 at 1:46 PM

@Toy Technically yes, because my parents are, so we eat what they eat.. Why?

@dawnie
Sometimes that can make you iron deficient.
Maybe your not eating all the right foods you need to have in a proper diet.
But I don't know your entire case, so I don't know.
Low iron is bad.
I don't know how low yours is, though?
If your worried go see a doctor and if he feels the need to, he'll give you iron supplements.
Maybe your low iron is why your tummy hurt the other day?

@dawnie
Having low iron isn't really good, but it depends on how low your iron actually is. If it isn't that low I think the best thing is to just have extra green vegetables (though I wouldn't recommend overpowering your diet with green vegetables) to boost your iron (eg spinach) and if possible have cereal that has extra iron in it for breakfast. Oh and if you have white bread for your toast try having whole wheat. If your worried you can go to the doctor like @toy said.

Depends, normal Iron count for a woman is 12 to 12.6 ๐Ÿ˜Š But any thing a little bit higher or lower isn't that bad. Too much either way though you should probably alter your diet accordingly. It doesn't matter that much though unless you want to donate blood. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Low iron is worse than high, with low iron you can become anemic. That is no good. โ˜น๏ธ

Things with lots of Iron, red meat (steak, pork, etc.), raw veggies, raisins, and OREOS. No joke. ๐Ÿ˜Š When I had low Iron I ate an entire box in one day lol, and then like two a day until I tried to give blood again. It was 12.4 and it had been 11 two weeks before XD

Toast is good too! You tested in school? You don't remember what the number was?

@nkiay's right, red meat is the best to help boost your iron count.
