I kind of dislike the new pings... or is it a bug? Because when I clicked on a ping, I got directed to a quick reply page instead of being-

i didn't get notifications either. I guess it doesn't work but since we always use them anyways ian added it as a feature.

The Blog doesn't generate Notifications for pings like the Forums (as it has always been).

But there is simply a new "ping" link on blog comments to fill your reply with usernames. This should be easier, esp for longer usernames
