Egg Cave is quite the happening place! Visit our blog for the latest updates on everything new that we add to the site — new creatures, exciting worlds, account updates, and unique activities to do!
At the moment, we're trying to fix the most mission critical bugs that are affecting version 3. Thank you for reporting all of them thus far. Rest assured, we will get to them and fix whatever is going wrong!
These bugs are a work in progress, but we wanted to let you know what we're on it!
After the initial transition to version 3, we have already begun fixing bugs that you all have been finding around the site. We fixed the blog comments bug, too!

One of the biggest changes in version 3 is our mobile responsive layout for phones and tablets. For those of you who have had initial issues, fear not, for we're working on improving this experience. Any issues you can provide to us at the Problems & Bugs forum will be immensely helpful. Try to include phone screenshots if you can upload them somewhere.
Your PMs and mail conversations should be fully imported in about 30 minutes.
This is the last of your data to be imported from version 2. Everything else is golden! But if you think we missed something, please report it at the Forums.
Unlike our first transition to version 3 a few weeks ago, the servers seem to be handling the visitor load much better than before. We still think that version 3 isn't working at 100% top speed just yet, so please know that we're working on this.
We know that version 3 presents some changes that not all of you may be initial fans of, but we hope that you give it a shot. Moving forward, please know that Team Egg Cave is committed to working with you all to change the things that you don't like and improving the stuff that's not good. We're listening and your feedback isn't falling on deaf ears! So, let us know what you think!

Whew! Our second try and transitioning to version 3 is complete. That was quite a long time for a maintenance, wasn't it? We know, we know! You miss your creatures but rest assured that you can see them all now. We're back!
We have brought eggcave.com back online, but there is some auxiliary data that we are still importing. Over the next little bit, we'll be importing the following account data from version 2:
The reason this data is still pending is because it takes a lot of time to import. We will post another Site Blog update all four of these items are completed.
Well... everything! We've put together a list of the biggest changes on the What's New page. It might feel a little long, but it's packed with tidbits to help you unlock the full power of the new site!
We've tested version 3 for quite some time, but things can still break. Please report any pages that you receive an error at in the Forums. If the glitch ends up specifically affecting your account data like items, EC, CC, or any creatures (like a loss of something), please submit a ticket.

HAPPY EARTH DAY - Happy Earth Day from Egg Cave! Egg Cave is committed to raising awareness about climate change and how to protect our environment to keep it beautiful and thriving. THE EARTHA - Until 30 April, the Eartha will be available for your adopting pleasure in the Cave. Then, it will be available in the Cash Shop Park.
CLAIM YOUR FINAL PRIZE - If you haven't already claimed your final Spoto prize as part of the annual Easter Egg Hunt, please do so now. The Easter Egg Hunt is now closed and the 2017 headquarters will be available for viewing through 30 April (the last day of this month). Thank you to everybody who participated in the Easter Egg Hunt! We hope that you had a ton of fun collecting.
EASTER EGG HUNT FINAL DAY - It's the final 24 hours of our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Continue visiting and browsing Egg Cave to find small, icon-sized Easter eggs. Click on them to collect them and obtain prizes as you go! Hidden Easter eggs will be turned off tonight at 11:59 PM ECT. After that, you will have until 30 April to browse the Easter Egg Hunt headquarters and claim any prizes. Thank you to everybody who has participated and helping make this a smash-hit event!
EARTH DAY - Stay tuned for our upcoming Earth Day celebrations!
VERSION 3 TRANSITION - Egg Cave will be transitioning to version 3, an updated look and design for the web site, on 24 April 2017 beginning at 9:00 AM ECT. It's the same game and community you love, with a brand new look! Like the previous transition, we estimate that this maintenance will last between 6-9 hours. During this maintenance, the site will be offline and you will not have access to your account. About 2-3 hours into the transition, your creature images will be back online.
Since the last attempted transition a few weeks ago, we discovered multiple points of failure that we believe we have fixed. We apologize for the downtime on that day and for any inconvenience caused. We're much more confident in this second try at version 3 and are confident that the site will run better than ever. Thank you!
PUBLIC BLOCK LISTS - A number of public block lists have recently come to our attention that users have been posting on their user and creature profiles outlining who they have blocked and why. After reviewing these public block lists, we have found many of them to be quite unfriendly and scathing toward others. As of today, we are kindly requesting that users remove any published block lists from their profiles. There isn't an official rule, nor do we feel the need for there to be, prohibiting talk about users that you have blocked. But we find these kind of public block lists to be unhelpful in keeping Egg Cave a friendly and safe community. The purpose of Egg Cave's block system is to close down communication with those that you wish to avoid. But after that, letting it go. Please continue to use these tools as you see fit but do not publish public block lists.
Within the next week or so, we will begin clearing reported profiles that contain public block lists. Due to the sensitive nature of this blog post, comments on this specific post are closed. Thank you for helping us keep Egg Cave enjoyable for everybody!
