Egg Cave is quite the happening place! Visit our blog for the latest updates on everything new that we add to the site — new creatures, exciting worlds, account updates, and unique activities to do!
We are terribly sorry about the change at the Science and Research Center! It seems that Bob the Server decided to SWITCH BACK our Science and Research Center page to the April Fools joke. This should have not happened.
The Science and Research Center is STILL in need of EC. Although, in light of this error, the Town Hall has generously donated an additional 50,000,000 EC to the cause.
Due to popular demand, the Travel Agency is now traveling to the infamous Volcano. The goal: not to be consumed by fiery lava!
Additionally, when you attempt to purchase a Travel at the Agency, you can now view the Travel's rarity. Rarity determines how frequently it restocks. One is the lowest rarity (i.e. very common), and 100 being almost unobtainable.
Recently, we've received several reports of users creating similar usernames to others and acting as impostors and "stealing a trade" at the Trade Center.
So, TO ALL TRADERS, before accepting an offer, please check the username of the offerer. This is especially important if you're trying to trade with a specific user. Make sure it is the right person and not an impostor! If you accidentally trade with the wrong user, we cannot give your creatures back.
This notice has been posted on the View Offers page at the Trade Center.
Remember that there are NO identical usernames. Pay attention to who offers on your lots. That way, it will take all of the power away from any impostors. :) Things like this are 100% preventable by you. ;D
We're trying a new cache system for our creature images. We're currently working on adjusting the settings to optimal levels.
If you buy a travel and it does not appear after it's applied, do not worry. Empty your browser cache or wait the following day and it will appear. Currently, this shouldn't happen (you should see the change immediately), but that's the cache system we're working on fixing. :D
The same applies to gender changes with the Venus and Mars Stone. If you used the item and the gender change isn't reflected in the image, it will be within the following day.
With regards to Easter celebrations, the Onny, Eyleymo, and Shaibun have all retired. Thanks to all who participated in our Egg Hunt! :D
More fun is on the way!
The Easter 2010 Egg Hunt was closed yesterday at 6:00 pm ECT. The Easter 2010 Egg Hunt page is still online though. Those who completed the Egg Hunt will need to claim their Eyleymo by April 9. After this, both the Eyleymo and Onny will be retired forever.
Thanks to all who participated in our LARGEST and MOST PLAYED Egg Cave event ever. :D Those who completed the Easter 2010 Egg Hunt will receive a trophy on their profiles when the next version of the site is... oops! I've said too much. ;D
The Easter celebrations are CONTINUING at Egg Cave! The Shaibun, our special sheep bunny Easter creature, still appears randomly throughout the day in the Egg Cave. The Onny is still available at the Cash Shop Park (and it will be retired forever after April 9)! The Eyleymo can be obtained from participating in the Easter Egg Hunt!
A mysterious creature, a cross between a bunny and a sheep, has been discovered in the Egg Cave! It will be available on and off throughout the day through April 9!
Our Easter 2010 Cash Shop Park special limited edition creature is now available... but only through April 9. Then it will be retired forever!
UPDATE: The Onny purchase page has been fixed! Sorry about that!
Our Easter 2010 Egg Hunt has begun! To participate in the hunt, visit the Easter 2010 Egg Hunt HQ to get started. TWENTY mysterious eggs have been hidden randomly around Egg Cave! Can you find them all?! A prize awaits those who can. ;)
Also, just today, our users have created a total of...
Congratulations, Egg Cave! More updates tomorrow. :D
Although the reports are unconfirmed as to WHO donated such a massive amount to the famous Calla Fund, the Science and Research Center in Ark City is no longer taking donations. It appears that research is commencing?!
Oh... what might this be?
