EVOLUTIONS IN REAL TIME - After one of the biggest improvements on our stats system, Egg Cave is proud to introduce creature evolutions in real time and 100% live creature stats, including views.

We're growing up and getting smarter, dad!

We're most excited that there will be no more delays for any daily stat resets. Gone are the days of "my creatures didn't evolve today!" or "feeds didn't reset."

A NOTE ON CREATURE LEVELS - Since creature images are still generated only once per day, the Creature Levels printed upon the image can become outdated as the day progresses. Rest assured that, despite this, the system still recognizes and uses the live Level of the creature (not the printed image Level), particularly with creature immortality.

CONSIDER THE EFFECTS ON FREEZES - Since creature evolutions are now occurring in real-time, don't procrastinate with things like freezes, as you do not have until ~3:00 AM the next day to complete your freeze. "Buffer time" for freezes is a thing of the past.

WE'RE UPDATING DOCUMENTS - Since real-time evolutions haven't existed in the history of Egg Cave, allow us the next week to update our documents about creature evolutions and stats.

Chocotravaganza Exchange event is about to close!

CHOCOTRAVAGANZA LAST DAY - Today is the last day of the Chocotravaganza Exchange event. Continue feeding through the rest of today to receive more Chocolate Boxes! Tonight at 11:59:59 PM ECT, you will no longer be able to receive Chocolate Boxes from feeding.

The Prize Shop will be open through February 28.

GENERAL FOODS - These cheeseberries are now restocking at General Foods.

   

TOY SHOP - There are tons of new toys that are now available at the Toy Shop.

   
   
   
   

BAKERY - The Bakery has added these cute chocolate turtles into the mix.

   

CLICK EXCHANGE IP ABUSE - We're cracking down. Egg Cave does not permit IP abuse in the Click Exchange. The system now detects if you're using too many IP addresses to generate illegitimate clicks or hoard XC between multiple accounts of the same owner. If we detect abuse, the system will issue a temporary Exchange-only ban (not a site-wide account suspension).

Regular, active users of the Click Exchange have nothing to worry about nor should they change their Exchange clicking behavior. The system detects and prohibits extreme and erratic IP behavior. For example, having a "high" volume of incoming or outgoing clicks to your account will not accidentally "trip" our detectors.

With us cracking down, you'll notice that the Click Exchange will have more creatures available to click and that Exchange Credits (XC) will be more evenly distributed amongst the participators. Thank you for helping us ensure a fair and equal Click Exchange for all!

EVENT UPDATES - As a reminder, the Chocotravaganza Exchange closes and the Sikeree retires on February 19, 11:59:59 pm ECT! The Chocotravaganza Prize Shop will remain open for 1 week after.

THE SIKEREE - If you haven't seen the Sikeree yet, you have to read the story. Get yours for 200 CC in the Cash Shop Park.

THIEF SHOP CREATURES - So that Thief Shop creatures appear in various species listings around the site (i.e. Trade Center search), all Thief Shop creatures are now viewable in The Archives. Their evolution stages, however, are still hidden.

DOUBLE/TRIPLE FEED DAY - It's that time of month again! For today only, you can receive up to double or triple Egg Coins for feeding. Have fun!

LAG RESOLVED - Through the deployment of a couple of brand new cloud-based devices and major changes to our server environment, Egg Cave's major lag problems have been resolved.

Since this has been a major update to our hardware and behind-the-scenes functionality, please report any outstanding technical site errors that you encounter via the Contact page.

I can neither confirm or deny that it was me.

SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - Lovely players: Egg Cave has been experiencing higher-than-average loads over the last several days. We realize that this has made the site significantly slower, making things like feeding particularly time consuming.

Rest assured that we've been working around the clock to find the cause of this most recent episode of lag.

To ensure the safety of all creatures, we've set all creatures' happiness to 100. We will keep you informed on our progress.
