Everything's so expensive on Eggcave. How do I make money?

Two currencies are EC (Eggcoins) and CC (Cavecash).

The direct conversion rate for them is 1m EC=100CC. This can fluctuate due to demand and supply, but best not to take a bad deal no matter how desperate you are because it encourages bad conversion rates.

1) Login Bonus: everyday logging in adds 100 EC to the bonus until 3000 EC where it will stay as 3000 EC per login

2) Feeding: nets you EC (~100 EC / creature). Every second Sunday of the month is double feed day (~200 EC/creature). Everybody starts here.

3) Site Games: Site Trivia (10,000 EC/correct answer), Alkub Racing (bet 1000 EC, 10,000 EC/correct bet),

4) Monthly Challenge: Needs 2 Factor Authentication (a phone). 100 CC every month for completing 5 random tasks per day for 25 days in the month. Some of the tasks (quests, donation, shops) will cost EC to do so you need to have some on hand to complete them.

5) Eggcave Birthday Giveaway: Needs 2 Factor Authentication (a phone) 500 CC per year on July 20th

6) Notable Event - Gobbler Hunt for November: 100 people who find the most Gobblers hidden around the site win 1000 CC - will hurt your eyes

7) Trading:

Where to find eggs to trade: Cave, Events, Asteroid, Oasis, Thief Shop, Cash Shop, Auctions

Where to sell eggs: Auctions, Trade Centre

A) "Cave Monthlies" and "Event/Seasonal" Pets:
Cave Monthlies can be obtained from the Cave for that month only and will retire after. Announcement of what the 2 Monthlies are on the blog post on the 1st of every month. "Release Day"/RD Cave Monthlies (1st of the month) can go to around 50CC on the Trade Centre. Normal Cave Monthlies go for 30-60k when available and will increase with age after retirement.

Events and Seasonal Pets:
List of Events and their Pets
List of Seasonal Pets

Events and Seasonal pets will come back every year until their retirement from the event shops.

During events and the monthlies release month, can obtain creatures for cheaper than the sell price from Auctions or free from the Cave. Can then sell these after the event/month is over on the Trade Centre for higher.

B) VEND Machine
Retired Cave/Events/Seasonal Pets may reappear in the VEND Machine after a long time. To obtain them, will need to spend time and EC to complete quests and gain quest tokens. See: How to Quest. Different pets require different amount of tokens. Based on the amount and type of tokens, the sell price for them can be between 200 - 600 CC when they are currently in the VEND. The VEND also has limited stock. People will pay money for the convenience of not having to do the quests but still obtaining the creatures.

After retiring from the VEND, the price will increase. High level (400-600 CC) can go up to 1k - 2.5k CC.

C) Cash Shop Monthlies:
Every month, like the Cave Monthlies, two Cash Shop Monthlies (CSPs) that cost 500 CC is released. Every year on December, all the CSPs released in that year get released a second time.

After trading or collecting (500+1200=1700 CC) for the year, can buy 3 or more of the CSPs, either to resell when they retire for that price the next year or to keep.

Reselling the CSPs can be for 500-1000 CC due to popularity, scarcity and the fact that:

D) Cash Shop Rerelease:
CSPs can get rereleased from the Cash Shop if enough people vote for it. The vote appears once every month and all eligible CSPs are featured. Species can't be released two years consecutively. The price will start at least double the original (1000 CC) and have limited stock.

Reselling rereleases can go up to 3-3.5k if they're not readily available, generally 2k is still good for both trader and buyer.

About Eurog Eggs

This egg was only available in Egg Cave's Cash Shop Park for May 2012.

Eurog eggs are among the most strong of all eggs in Ark!

About the Eurog Creature

Eurog are a very strong breed of dragon. Their scales are the among the strongest of any dragon in Ark, making the Eurog very difficult to physically harm.

Despite their strong physicality and appearance, Eurogs are gentle creatures in normal contexts. In the context of danger and adventure, however, Eurogs are fierce fighters that will stop at nothing. After a Eurog has finished a fight, it needs a healthy "wind down" time to return to its calm and gentle state. If a Eurog is disturbed during this wind down period, it can spark a fiery reaction.
