Hi, my name is Daisy! I started playing Egg Cave in November 2022. I'm 31 years old and I live near Chicago with my sweet boyfriend Kevin (@matcha, anniversary 06.06.21; his cove is FF) and my fluffy orange cat named Mildred. She's the reason I'm collecting orange cat creatures! I was recently working as a Test Technician and Assembler for a robotic surgery system (Medtronic HUGO) and now I am working as a Biomedical Technician for infusion pumps for chemotheraphy and pain management.

I've had a lot of different jobs! Listed from most recent~
2 years: Test Technician for a robotic surgery system (Medtronic Hugo RAS) and Medical Electronics Builder / Functional Tester (built and tested biopsy extractors, mammogram machines, surgical foot compressors, medical computers).
4.5 Years: Laser Engraver / Operator for cremation urns and grave markers (using an Epilog Legend 36EXT) and drew custom portraits of decedents on the computer to be engraved onto the urns. Fun Fact: I engraved Zsa Zsa Gabor's urn, Burt Reynolds' urn, and Florence Henderson's urn. If you’re too young to know who they are, feel free to look them up! :-) Fun Fact: I was the first female machinist this company hired! A 150 year old company lol. o_o Fun Fact: Me and three other guys engraved around 500 urns every single week! Fun Fact: A year into this position, they started an embroidery department and chose me to run it. I taught myself how to use the machine and worked as both a laser tech and embroidery machine operator at this time.
1.5 Years: Barista and Chocolatier.
3.5 Years: Embroidery Machine Operator for hotel garments, robes, pillows, slippers (using an 8-headed, 14-foot-long Tajima industrial embroidery machine).
5 Years: Waitress and Shake Maker at a 50s diner and Server for a few months at a Thai restaurant.
2 Seasons: Makeup Artist for Fright Fest, Sound and Lights Technician for theatre shows, Costume Character (think Tweety, Lola, Pepe).
1/2 Year: Foreclosure Document Proofreader and Processor.

🌿Fun Facts
I collect human teeth and orange cat things. My family owned camera stores in and around Chicago from 1918-2008 (went out of business due to places like Walmart, Amazon). I haven't eaten meat since June 2002. My typing speed is 98 WPM. I celebrate both Christmas and Chanukah (Easter, Passover, etc.). I've had and loved a flip phone up until March 2022 when I reluctantly had no choice but to get a smartphone for the first time. I found Egg Cave on a Neopets fan site in November 2022. Daisy is my real name. I was bullied growing up because I didn't look like the popular girls, but I'm thankful because it helped me to always strive to be kind to everyone! And it helped me develop a personality. 😉


🌿Experience
Art: I've been creating art since I was a toddler. I have many different styles, such as realistic, abstract, modern, traditional, digital, pixel, cutesy. I love many art applications, but drawing and painting are the ones I do most often.
Baking: I've been interested in baking and cooking for my whole life. I starting by helping my mom in the kitchen when I was a kid. I became very interested in making desserts, candy, and chocolate. As I got older, I'd say my passion was with baking, but over time, my passion has grown for cooking, too.
Makeup: I'm a self-taught makeup artist with experience of 18+ years. I LOVE makeup. I use drugstore makeup. I believe beautiful looks can be created without spending a fortune.
Writing: I've been writing for most of my life, my main interest being songwriting. I love writing poetry, lyrics, raps, broadway-style songs, and parody or comedy songs. There's nothing better than when your bf is crying with laughter from your song, and says, "That song was stuck in my head at work again," and he's referring to one of your silly creations!
Computers: Growing up, we seemed to have a lot of computers. My mom would say, "She's back on that computer again," and my dad replied, "She doesn't do drugs, so does computer." I created, designed, and coded my own .com website from scratch and ran it for 10+ years. I offered homemade graphics, animations, pixel adoptables, blinkies, backgrounds, makeup & skincare help, recipes, HTML / CSS help, and more.
Photography: My dad's side of the family owned and operated multiple camera stores from 1918 to 2008, so, I grew up around cameras. I love taking photos and take them as freelance work. My favorite types: food styling, fashion portraits, spontaneous portraits.

🌿About My Guild
On Neopets in the 2000s, I owned and was a part of many different guilds over the years. A solid guild is what I felt was missing from Egg Cave after I joined in November 2022. When Neopets guilds came up a couple separate times while talking with a friend on here, I decided why not try making one. With guilds not being an official site feature, it could be a fun challenge to attempt. I created 🪺The Nest🪺 in hopes that a sense of community could grow, members would bond, and everyone could take part in frequent activities and events. I wanted to bring something fresh to Egg Cave!

About Xatta Eggs

Xatta eggs are made of an extremely strong metal alloy. You hearing a faint BEEP-BEEP BOOP-BOOP sound whirring inside.

About the Xatta Creature

Xattas are digital insects of the future—some call them cyborgs. They receive all sensory data and information about their surrounding environment through their single (and later dual) antennae. If a Xatta's antenna breaks, it is the equivalent of death (don't worry, they can be repaired in the shop!).

Xattas are essentially programmed as helpers and errand runners (not necessarily servants) for the future digital world and are solar-powered. If a Xatta is confused or out of energy, it's typically because they got stuck in a shaded area or were not able to complete their job before sunset. The following morning, most are fine without intervention.
