This idea was inspired by the recent quitting spree. What if there was a place where the names of users who officially quit were listed? And for each one, people could post stories, feelings, and memories about that person. Maybe it could be a graveyard, or something...

And when a user requested their account to be deleted, their name would still be on there.

@gvantsa's idea: There would be a section of the forums for quitting users.

Not everyone will say they are quitting though 😋 But if someone deletes that account and later a new person comes and uses that name.. what then? It's a new person.

@gvantsa
By "officially quit" I mean the people who made a topic about quitting and went through with it. And about the second...I didn't actually think of that xP

@gvantsa I think people will know though. How about for this forum we look for negatives and find ways to solve them instead of just making it an unsolvable negative.

I dont think its a good idea.. It is a nice idea but I dont think it will work (thats my opinion)
There are much people quitting and most people dont even know them...
What if I say: Im quitting.. And three months I changed my mind and come back. What happens then?

@amy14
Then you would be taken off the list. 😊

Fine here's my alternate suggestion. Instead of making lists of people we just make a little subsection. Only there can people post that their topics on leaving. No lists. Quitting Topics posted outside would be moved there.

It could be a subsection under Welcomes and Introductions. Seems fitting since we would have a section for new people saying hello, might as well have a little section for people saying goodbye. That way those type of topics will have a home and the rest of the forum won't be so depressing with random quitting topics scattered all over the place.

There you go. 😉

@cqpkytty How about the list of people who were gone for 5 years and not coming back have their account deleted and their name written on the list?😸

@haunted
Not their account. Some people who leave, have a showcase cove that they wish to keep on the site.

Only reason why I think @Ian would NOT do this, is because he doesn't want quitting users. He doesn't like it when people leave his website! Sure it would be nice so say quotes and goodbyes, sure, but why would he want to recongize them if they're gone? I mean, it would make users sadder and sadder if their bestie quit and when he\she goes to that page, it always reminds them that their best friend was gone :/

@glazzie
Last summer, my grandpa and great-grandmother died within weeks of each other. It was really sad. But the funerals helped, where other people who knew them were there too, and I didn't feel as sad.
