Lola perked her ears. It had been hours since the storm passed. She ventured out from under her little burrow and searched for food as her parents had taught her before they were brutally murdered by a pack of jackals. She was suddenly distracted by a scratching noise coming from beneath the ground. She followed the sound for hours, but once it disappeared, she was lost. she didn't recognize anything around her. She was no longer in the desert.
After wandering around for a couple of minutes, she heard another noise. It was talking. Not exactly other foxes but canines.
Lola hid behind a bush and watched the pack of canines. "Should I go to them?"Lola pondered with this question.

Winston heard loud snoring over by a bush and walked over to investigate. He saw a fennec fox all curled up and sleeping.

Lola heard pawing dangerously close. Startled when she saw the German Shepherd, she lept 4 feet back and tripped over a pebble, landing with all four paws facing the sky and revealing her soft belly.
Once she got up, she tried to act cool and mysterious to the stranger (and failed miserably because her large eyes and long pointy ears only spoke of cuteness).
"Are you going to eat me?" she snarled, baring her sharp teeth and flashing her claws.

"remember that time when you trembled at your first 'order of duty'? And you were fightened by the horrible hyena who seemed to want to kill and eat you? Thats the true part. The only reason he is loving and caring for you is because he wants to USE you!" Dakota took a minute to breath. "He is smart enough to know that you would run away from him if you didnt love him, so he made you love him so you will get him food, bandages, and what he wants you to do for him."

"see this?" dakota showed silic the fur, bone, and blood on the ground. (if you dont remember this, i think its on page four?) "This proves his trickery. He hoped that this would trick winston and i that he had ate nala."

The place also has scaly but equally delicious lizards, sweet wild berries and grasses, and feathery, fun-to-chase-and-eat birds that come with crunchy eggs 😉 "

"Ahh!" dakota screamed. Silics bite hurt, but not as much as a grown dogs bite. Just hold on. Dakota thought. Let her let go on her own. dakota knew that if she shook or jerked silic off, she would never belove that crazy was not her mother. Dakotas eyes widened. But she did not say a word or do anything to silic

Thought began to swarm her head as her teeth continued to dig. 'How do you know that Crazy's the good guy? What do you know anyway? You're just a mere puppy!' A voice in her head cried. Her teeth slowly slid away from Dakota's neck.

Dakota gasped for air. She heard nalas question. (isnt nala still in the cage?) "i'm trying to explain crazy to silic. Here, i need to get you out of here." dakota broke the cage and let nala out. She brung the two pups to her den and set tyem down. "Ouch!" dakoya said as she stretched out her neck. Four spots on her neck were red woth blood from silics bites
