Hi there, This is a forum dedicated to the Newbies, so that they'll have an easier time getting the hang of things on Egg Cave.

-Don't take every egg you see, your cove will soon get overloaded with what are known as "junk eggs" or "commons".Commons or Junk eggs are are eggs that are always in the cave, and trade for very little value.

-Mo's are always in the cave, but are rare to get, so if you get one, make sure you don't trade it away for just anything.

-If you are unsure about the worth of a trade you have up, or something someone has offered, ask an oldie 😊 Most are thrilled to help.

-READ THE BLOG. It is full of helpful info on whatever creatures have just come out, and ones that will soon be released.

-READ THE FAQ. Most of the questions you may have can be answered there.

-The asteroid creatures are Tenalp, Pareteorsite (or Paret) And Stortcai. These are highly valued eggs.

-Don't beg people to trade you something,It's very rude.
IF you are curious about a creature, say something polite like "I see you have a [creature species here], would you ever be looking to trade it?"

-If someone has NUFT on a creature profile, that means it is not up for trade, and asking about it can make people a little irritated.

-Don't get angry if people don't want to trade, the oldies here have all been where you are, and they worked very hard to get their creatures, So the might not want to trade.

-Getting your "dream cove" Takes hard work, but don't give up ! 😊

-The older eggs are worth more, check the archives for dates. This will help you determine whether it is easily obtainable or not. (2009 pets: Hard, 2010: Somewhat hard, 2011: Fairly easy)

-Eggcave creatures trade best for CCs, if you can't buy CC save up limited edition eggs to trade for CC eggs.

-Use proper grammar, people will take you more seriously! 😊

-Tines, Onnies, Macbots, And DooVoos are the most difficult to get. So don't get discouraged if you can't get one.

-Participate in contests, it's a good way to get to know users, and have a chance to get some very nice prizes.

-Don't forget to post you forum posts in the proper category.

-Double posting a forum will irritate alot of people. You end up clogging the live feed and causing issues, more than you get whatever you are trying to say across.

-Be polite! 😊

-Don't lie to other users just to get something. It's very rude, and when the truth comes out (and it always will) People could be hurt and you will not have very many friends on here. Honesty is the best policy! 😊

-Your 'egg coins' or 'EC' are the basic money system on Egg Cave. You use it to get travels, put your eggs in Tim's Food Shoppe (Which will keep them healthy and happy for however many days you put them in for!) and you can now use it to trade for creatures.

-Don't be afraid to post creature ideas! The users on Egg Cave are very nice and love all creations. We offer constructive criticism on how to make it better, or what would really make it pop, as opposed to bad criticism which hurt feelings.

-The more you post in the forums and talk to other users, the easier it will be to find people with similar interests and make friends. 😊

Wow, am I ever glad to see this post. A great help, indeed. Thanks to all. I'm not really a new member, more of like "the quieter ones who just lurk around". ^.^

-Many users have feedlists, Which can be located in the Profile portion of that persons cove. Before feeding ANY cove, always check to see if they have a feedlist, as many users only want the list fed.

-Feeding a whole cove when a user has a feedlist (and they only want the list fed) Can make that user VERY upset with you. Most are understanding if you are a newbie, but from now on, skim their profiles and check for lists 😊

-It's very easy to get overwhelmed when you have a lot of eggs and creatures. EC is often the biggest issue. But thankfully there are many ways to get EC.
-Feed users coves/lists 😊
- Trade creatures you are willing to part with for certain amounts of EC. 😊
-Try to be on during the fifteenth of each month, you earn double the EC for feeding creatures. 😊
