Be Optimistic!

I've been noticing lately that some users are complaining MORE and MORE about eggcave. From creatures to travels to features, users are complaining so much it's starting to get crazy. It's okay to state every once and a while that you don't like something, like this:

"Oh well, I was hoping for my creature suggetion to be made. These creatures are okay..."

Not this:

"UGH. EGGCAVE IS JUST NOT ORIGINAL ANYMORE. I mean REALLY. Come on."

Can you guys actually try to appreciate how much hard work Ian and the eggcave team work to keep this website running? Have you ever peered closely to a creature and noticed how well detailed it is? Or thought how much time it must have taken to code an eggcave update?

Let's appreciate Egg Cave today. Let's enjoy how awesome this website really is. And don't complain!

Agreed. That's why for Christmas I will be getting a ton of Cave cash to donate for all of the hard work Ian and the staff put into this site. Many other sites, admins and staff reply to you with automated messages. Egg cave actually responds back to you, which is another reason why this site is so great. And I love that Ian actually lets users get their suggestions made unlike many other sites that don't. I'm very thankful for egg cave and will be playing until the end. Thanks @Ian and all of the artists ( @qesque), and the moderators ( @Zac, @Meteoroid, @Annapashmina) for all of their hard work put into EC. Rock on EC!

And the users here on EC are very nice and fun to chat with. 😊

I don't know, I think everyone has a right to their opinion no matter what it is, but there is knowledge in knowing how and when to voice an opinion. There is a difference between constructive criticism and just complaining. On the flip side, it is also wisdom knowing how to tell the difference between -receiving- constructive criticism and not -perceiving- it as complaining.

Perhaps people just need to be more sensitive to others and voice their not-so-positive opinions in more constructive ways.

At any rate, I'm not always 100% impressed by some of the new creatures, etc., but if you look in my cove, you'll see at least one of every species and I do like to get involved anyway. I do, despite this, appreciate everything the Egg Cave staff does for us and I seek to support them in any way I can. It's also about the community. We're like family here, at least I feel that we are.

So, being more positive? I agree. Not being able to express when you are displeased without being criticized yourself? Disagree.

Although now that I'm thinking about it more, if you decide to publicly post your opinion, you are subject to the opinions of others. What I'm getting at, basically, is that it's a delicate balance that one should strive to maintain. Bottom line is, people will always have differing opinions. We don't have to pick on each other to prove who is right or wrong; we should simply accept our differences!

It's like what Ghandi said: "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."
