EDIT: My final grade is 87 in Spanish. I win. 8D

I'm failing at Spanish.

And since I'm so snobby with my grade, 'failing' means I got a C+.

79! I just need ONE more point to have a B-...

Because my dad's gonna kill me if I miss out on honor roll for second term. </3

I need... Idk, a Spanish tutor. I don't understand why I got a C anyways...

I do all my spanish homework. I get over 90 on all my tests and quizzes. I fill out all my Spanish worksheets. I even take notes. I'm new to spanish this year, in other years I took French, but I switched. So I don't wanna make a bad impression.
It might be my behaviour, if that matters enough to take off 21 points of my grade...
I'm not a bad kid, but I still have that sensitve-little-girl side. I don't like sharing my work in public. I stutter out of nervousness when I get called on.
but I do so much better when I'm alone, and with written words.

I honestly don't know what I need help with... All I want is a better grade. If anyone's good enough at Spanish, I could use advice. Or else I can kiss my honor roll grades goodbye forever. ☹️

Maybe you can beg the teacher for extra work to bump up your grades? 😱 That's what i would do. ><
Wow, you sound like me, because that's how I feel when teachers call on me too. XD

When teachers call on me, my mind goes like this:

BLANK

@Taffy789

@Smilies

I just don't understand...

If I should have a C in any class, it's PE. But I happen to have an A+ in PE. xD

For first school term, I had a 91 in Spanish, and straight A's. This is the beginnig of term 2.... And I NEED to bump up my spanish grade before this term ends, or else I won't have my name in the newspaper! That's the coolest part. xD

I don't want to disappoit my dad. He was so proud that I got high honors for firtst term... But if I don't get honors AT ALL for second term...

And yeah, I think a lot of people get nervous when they're called on. When I willigly give an answer, all is good. But the teacher might ask us something in Spanish, and I know the answer, but just don't feel like saying it... She calls on me randomly. I just sit there, blank, and tell her I'm too uncomfortable to share my work. And all the kids roll their eyes.

I sound nerdy for worrying. But I'm not, thanks. Hey, at least I'm worrying about something that ACTUALLY MATTERS.

@dreamer - I understand completely. D:

I'm an overachiever without trying. XD And that makes large expectation. ><

But i'm not exactly sure what to tell you... :/ I'm taking Spanish right now too, though. XD

@Taffy789 No se. 😱

Lemme practice random spanish:

Manana me lleva el vestido rojo (not really)

La muchacha es bajo y trabajadora (lol)

Como estas? Estoy bien.

Me gusta la musica y escribir.

Randomness xD I know a lot more but can't think clearly right now... I'm very tired.

Soooo... I just need to work harder at Spanish xD

@dreamer

In one occasion, my friend (A student) got a B+ in Social Studies. She asked why, and the teacher had entered in the grade wrong. She has an A+ And made high honors in the end.

My other friend (The smartest girl i know) GOT A B- IN TECH LAB. The teacher meant to give her a 10 but forgot the '1' in '10' so it was a 0. She made high honors in the end too.

Just ask.

@Taffy789 *headdesk* Noooooo. "Tomorrow I wear a red dress." But not really. Just an example. XD

@Pizza5pizza5 I doubt my grade was a mistake.

@Candy_girl_1298 Gpa? What's that? Grade average or something? Because for honors, you need all A's and B's. High honors are straight A's.

@dreamer 6th grade isn't much of a big deal; trust me, high school grades mean much more. In high school there is no honor role; there is only NHS, and you don't need to be part of NHS to go to college. Trust me; I'm not in NHS and I got accepted into a great college.

Middle school grades, to be honest, mean little to nothing, and they don't measure your true potential. Don't sweat it; worry more when you get to high school.

@Pizza5pizza5 I'm not learning that. O_o We're doing like adjectives, a couple verbs, clothes, colors, at the beginning of the year we did 'Ser', just the basics. I have no clue what dibujar is.

@Pizza5pizza5 I'm pretty sure artistic in spanish is artistica, not artista. πŸ˜‹ I knew the rest, except the word dibujar.

Either way, what you said is incorrect.

'y' is 'and.' So you basically said "I like and draw because I am artistic."

French-Canadian
Italian
Irish
Scottish
My dad says I'm jewish, but we don't celebrate Jewish holidays or anything, but apparently my great-great grandmother or something was completely jewish... Although that's not exactly a nationality, is it?!

I was awesome at Italian D8 Sucked agt French, O.K. at Spanish.

If anything, I'd want to take Italian again. But we can't take Italian until High school, and in three years I'll already know too much Spanish, anyways. πŸ˜‹

Honors is easy for you :/ In my school it's a 90 average for regular honors and a 95 average for high honors.

And artistic is artistica (accent on first i) and dibujar means draw. I could PM study with you if you want.

@Pizza5pizza5 I'mma move back over there, just so I can learn Italian again. xD It's in my blood. Lol. Think about it.

Trust me, be happy there's no French. Only a few kids take French, and they hate it. Plus, French is like 3 times harder to learn.
