Mai walked out from the training room with Crystal and into the gardens. The breeze blew gently as she sat on a bench underneath the willow tree.

'That's good. I'm sure she'll be very happy once you get back,' Mai looked up at the willow branches. 'I don't have any pets myself, but there were usually creatures roaming around near where I live, so I'd play with them then.'

Crystal's stomach rumbled. "Hey, do you know any of the creatures' names? One of them might be Katie's mum, since Katie was left at my doorstep." Crystal nudged Mai. "Call me Crys, okay?" she whispered.

She nodded. 'Hmm... well, if I think about it, yes. None of the creatures I saw were Colatays, unfortunately,' she turned to face Crystal. 'You're hungry, right? Let's go and find some food to eat.'
