So, I would like to ask @Ian if it is damaging for a soprano to sing low. My choir director peep told me at our talent show, that I couldn't sing in the low key, even though it felt fine and I could get a good sound. Now, I was singing Someone Like You, and that song is kinda hard on the chorus. But, I improvise and it sounds awesome. I am in a band, I am doing a recording and I want to start singing more, even though I do at least 12 hours a day. I AM FREAKING OUT. I cannot be told I am ruining my voice when I have so much good stuff going on!!! PLEASE HELP.PS. Does anyone like Summertrain by Greyson Chance? If you do contact me and I will have it on youtube in a month or so.

@isablahI highly doubt it would hurt your voice. I was a soprano and an alto in my choir. As long as you practice them both, you'll increase your range.I wouldn't worry about it. 😃

@isablahI'm 21. But I was about 14 when I sang in my choir.

@Solaris I see. I am 11 and not as freaked out because I am going to be getting a vocal coach soonishly and also a voice teacher. Mainly because of my reaction to this ordeal. And also I do have kinda expanded vocab. because I read a lot. A LOT.a

@isablahThat's good to hear! I've always wanted a vocal coach. Also, I'm just curious, what does vocabulary have to do with this?

@solaris Nothing. A friend dared me to put a rando remark in one of my posts.
