Hawk sprinted away without saying anything, Archie following close behind. They stopped at a quiet woods outside of the city. "Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap! Witnesses? Why'd there have to be witnesses, Doku? What am I supposed to do about this...?" He finally said, catching his breath from running so long.

"Well, come on, we'll have to explain all this to Watcher." Hawk said to Archie with a worried look on his face. Archie slowly nodded and stood up. The two walked back to the city. "Hopefully those people aren't looking for me or anything." Hawk said.

The murdered young woman's small white cat mewed and pawed at her, hoping she would get up and pet him, he didn't understand what had happened. A small silver tag on his collar read: "Snow".

Hawk stepped back a second, startled. He wasn't expecting anyone to find him so soon. "Because it's my job, that's why." He replied.

"Yeah, put plainly." Hawk said. "And if you don't want to be mixed up in all this I suggest you forget what happened a while ago."

"Listen, I don't exactly enjoy my line of work here, but I do what I'm told. And I don't get paid for what I think, so I don't question anything, and I don't really want to have to kill you, so I'm asking you to just forget about this whole thing happened." Hawk said.

"Why did you kill her?" Before he could interrupt, she continued. "I know, I know. You're an assassin. But I mean, why were you sent to kill her? Who sent you? If either of the answers aren't classified, please tell me."

"It's part of my job. They say go kill this person, so I kill that person, it's none of yours or my business to ask who they are, or why I have to kill them, but it's my guess that all of the people I kill have something in common, they all want to change the way the world is now, I understand how they feel, but they'll never win. That's why, I joined the winning side. I don't want to die with them. I won't." He explained.

"The rebels, the people who are trying to change the world in vain. That person I killed back there took part in several attempts to change the world, so I was told to assassinate her. And so I did my job, end of story."

"I only work for someone who works for "them", I don't even know the guys' real name, let alone who he really works for. He calls himself Watcher, and he seems to know everything about everyone. All I know is that "they" must be somebody with a lot of political power, to be able to keep the world in check like they do."

"Well in technical terms yes, I would have to kill you, but I'm off duty right now." He said, putting his hands in his pockets. "See you around. Oh, and watch yourself out there." He added, walking away. Archie followed him around a corner. As soon as they where out of earshot, Archie barked. "Shut up, I know I'm not off duty!" Hawk said, kicking at him.

Alayei smiled when she heard that - he wasn't really off duty. So he DID have a soft spot...for her, maybe? Oh well. She walked away.

Hawk returned to his small apartment room, Archie plopped down onto the rug next to Hawk's bed. "Well, I have to go talk to Watcher tomorrow." He said. "But for now we gotta get some sleep." He added with a yawn.

Hawk woke up nice and early at 1 o'clock... Pm. Archie pushed his owner off of his bed, barking and making noises. "Alright, alright..." he said groggily, getting up. He pulled his purple jacket off a chair and slipped it on. "It's not like Watcher isn't used to me being late... Erm, by 5 hours." Hawk continued, stretching. Archie followed him out the door, Hawk pulled a Snickers bar out of his pocket and ate it as he walked. "Sorry bud, dogs can't have chocolate, that goes for wolves too, you know that." He said, noticing Archie was eyeing it up.

Hawk reached the place where he was told to meet Watcher. A tall cloaked man stood before him, he had a sword on his belt, and several other small knives and things. "Late again, I see." Watcher said. "Sorry, I tend to be a heavy sleeper, nothing can wake me up early." Hawk answered. "You finished the job, well done..." Watcher said. "Thank-" Hawk began to say. "At least, that's what I would have said, had you done the job right. You had a witness, on top of that, she is still running around the city." Watcher continued. "I want you to kill her. No questions." He said. "I can't do that." Hawk said. "I'm sorry to hear that, very well then, I have to kill you, and then her." Watcher replied, pulling down his hood, he had straight shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes. Watcher unsheathed his sword and slashed at Hawk, who quickly dodged the attack. "Whoa! Hold up! You can't even wait for me to prepare?" He said, dodging another slash.

Alayei walked in on the fight between Hawk and the other man. She became a bug and went up the other man's nose, then became a virus. She began to infect the man.

"Your friend is a fool." Watcher said, his skin and hair changing color to a very dark grey, his eyes started to glow green. Alayei began to burn inside him, his power must have been something similar to acid. A panther leaped down from atop a building and knocked Hawk to the ground.

Alayei, to stop the pain, became an exact duplicate of one of Watcher's cells. It made her immune.

besides...viruses aren't like that xP I was just playing along xP
Viruses are proteins, that hide inside cells. They teach the cells to make the virus kind of protein instead of other proteins; then kill the cell as the new viruses spread to other cells.

Viruses aren't *exactly* alive...

@cqpkytty Meh, I dunno much about viruses, as you can tell. xD

Watcher cringed and fell to the ground, he could feel the virus infecting his body.

Hawk pushed the panther off him and ran past a flagpole and onto a roof, he was good at climbing, and the roofs where usually the fastest way out of trouble at work. the panther chased after him, breaking the flagpole, the jagged bottom still sticking out of the ground.
