@Redstar-Fireclan I know my step mom is allergic, so we don't have any. But considering a cat almost killed me once, It doesn't really bother me. x)

@redstar-fireclan I've been around forever, i'm just not very active on here. I'm older and such... but anyway. My brother is only my half brother, and he's 9 years younger than me, so i had some trouble adjusting to that being and only child for 9 years. We used to fight like cats and dogs. But now, i don't know what i'd do without him, and i'd do anything for him. Like they said, just ask them what they like.. or ask if they like things that you like. If they have never tried doing art or never heard Skillet (awesome band btw) introduce them to it and see if they like it. Oh and growing up.. my mom never did girly things with me like my hair and nails but i wish she had.. idk if your in to that but it can be fun to mess around with it. Try that with the girls. Let us know how things go too π::Edit:: Also, remember that they are probably scared. You're getting new siblings, but they are getting a whole new world.

Haha...I met them yesterday..and...well, hid behind my dad, with my cat (They aren't alleric π)

@redstar-fireclanOkay. After reading through all of this, most of your fears or concerns are ones that everyone has in a time like this. So far as them liking what you like, see what they like first. ask what they're hobbies are, what music they like, and favorite movie and such. Then tell them yours. If you don't have the same interests, that's fine. Maybe you could each spend a day getting to know each other and share interests. π Lots of friendships (sibling or otherwise) are built on completely different tastes and interests. It's ok to be shy, but remember what they have been through. They may need someone to be nice to them, or a good friend to help them through it. And don't be upset if they seem shy or non talkative towards you, people deal with traumatic situations differently, and they may just want some time alone. So just be yourself, and be kind. They're your siblings now (blood or not) so make the best of it π

@redstar-fireclanThe only advise I have is to accept them the way they are. People don't all have the same likes and dislikes and it's best that way, it keeps everything interesting. Imagine a world where people were the same and did the same things and liked the same things. It would be boring first of all and not much would get done in the world either.Anyway, how'd your first meeting with them go then?

@redstar-fireclanWell considering that their parents are negligent and one is dead I think even though you disagree you should be supportive of your parents decisions and respectful of your new siblings. It's always hard to accept someone new into the family. It's going to be very hard on everyone involved, and digging your heels in is just going to make things worse for you in the long run.Who knows maybe you'll grow to like them?
