Well, it's almost 2012, the end is near.

It's kind of funny because in movies when people are faced in death situations, they always confess their secrets and then they don't die xD Watch that happen to me. o.o

Kinda makes me sad that now I'm older and closer to dying D;

Maybes me scared because the Mayan predicts this, and according to history, their predicts were right o.o

So yeah.

Mm~ Discovery channel just showed an episode about the 2012 thing just recently. I didn't get to watch the whole thing though...

But I do remember that they said that they Mayans didn't predict the end of the world, they said that that was the end of the calendar. And when one calendar ends, a whole new one begins. And that the Mayans might have been really just tracking the movement of the celestial bodies. {The date has to do with the fact that the sun, Earth, & something else align or something like that}

Plus, their calendar is compeletely not the same timing as ours. It's a hundred or so years off.

My sister has been scarred for life by all this end of the world stuff. Har dee har.

And think about it. In the movie 2012, the world didn't even end... The people still lived. xD If you're gonna make a movie, get your facts right instead of sparing the main characters please? It really kills the suspense.

People highlight all these natural disasters and blame it on the end of the world. This stuff was happening beforehand but people never said anything.

I totally agree with you though. It's cliche. You give your whole life story and then you end up living.

Either way, if the word ends, we'll all be saved by dogs. ^^

In Japan, it'll be the 21 and in CA it'll still be the 20 at some point. xD Everyone can flee to Hawaii and last a few more hours...?

Why does something ending always correlate to death to people?

We are entering a new age, I know that. Well, on one calender. It is accurate though, and it isn't the mayan one.

I don't think it's going to happen. I think something's going to happen, like a once-a-life-time-thing that happens every -Enter thousands of years-. Like, say you can see outer space in the middle of the day, because the sun hits it juuussstt right you can see it.



But come on people, if you're going to die you're going to die. Don't waste what you think is left of your life fretting. What do people think they're going to achieve? Oh yeah, I have a bunch of evidence. Still gonna die.

Take this time to do your bucket list, and if you don't die, great; You have a bunch of stuff to tell your grandkids. If you do die, then you can look at your life fondly. Not thinking "Well, I could have done -enter something".

Take a look at "Live like you were dying" I'd be the doctor.


I know the world's going to end some day. But it will be something we don't see coming; like the meteor.. Something so fast and swift we don't even notice we're dead until we are dead.


If you think about it, the human species as a whole is a parasite, and one day the Earth is going to take a disinfectant. People are greedy. If everyone took what they needed, not what they wanted, we'd live in harmony with each other and nature. Like, with trees. Cut down just enough to make your home, and leave the rest. And if you're building something, and you see a empty building; build there. Don't cut down when there's a nice spot right there.

Man Kind will be the end of Man Kind. Not something like..this.

I don't know about you all, but I'm going to live like I don't know about 2012. Maybe having fun more than I did, and not worry about money. [Like going to the beach or went on a vacation for nothing] Just live, basically.

I don't know about you all, but I'm going to live.

Cause if you think about it, we all are going to die some day. Maybe now, maybe in 100 years. But we will meet a fate. The time doesn't matter. This world doesn't matter, as long as you're happy with it.

Mm~ This makes me think about this conversation my friends & I said.
We were saying things like what you just posted.


Make a list of 10 things you would want to do before you die {and possibly could finish in a year.}
Goal: Finish it in the "remaining year we have to live"
If you finish it, great! If you finish it & the world really does end, you can say that you lived your last year like it was your last. If you finish it & the world doesn't end, who cares? You lived a year beautifully. :]

Maybe we should all do this anyways xD

their calander was extremely complicated, and they longest one they made only went to 2012. they never even thought this was the end of the world- they were just like "oh, well make another one after that."

but then some historian dude who wanted to make money got the idea of the end of the world.

its good entertainment but in real life its cr*p 😋

Pshhhh, the Mayans predict everything? What about the conquistadors? They didn't see that one coming did they? If they were going to predict the end of the world, I assume they would be referring the THEIR world, and that took place in the late seventeenth century.
2012 is the year when their calender turns over. It's a celebration. If they HAD seen Cortez coming and 'predicted' a way to fight him off, they would be having an enormous party.
All of this arrmagedon nonsense is pure media hype. It is not supported by science, or, for that matter, by the Mayans. There have been countless doomsday dates with equal or superior logical backing (y2k, 6/6/06, the rapture) and nothing has come of them, nor will anything come of 2012. So relax hun, please.

Oh yeah, and if I faintly remember... The end of the world was predicted once before... I mean, at least two times... But nothing ever happened... In fact, my dad and my brother we're driving down the road and we were counting down the minutes to when we were going to "die." XD

As I said, bring it on, 2012...

@cafe so? it was all part of religious reasons. and why would 2012 be true if the person who first announced it wasnt even mayan? just someone wanting money? thats like saying harry potter is real. the colonists believed in witches, but it was used for media :/

i was saying that 2012 was part of culture, then used for media.

witches and wizards (harry potter XD ) was also part of culture, then used for media XD

so they're kind of the same (im not talking about the religion wiccan)

and they didnt kill off the race with the sacrifices:/ it was a religious sacrifice

Oh sheesh.. you guys are kids you shouldn't be worrying about this stuff. It's not supposed to end till december anyway. I don't know if it will next year or not, but it will eventually. You shouldn't fear it though, if you lived life as a good person you shouldn't have anything to worry about dying 😊

Where I live it is like 1 hour away till 2012! I am in the East areas of Australia.

Although I am a little scared of the Mayan prediction... However I don't really believe. Because you know 1999? Everyone went crazy over the change to 2000. And nothing happened! Although I still have my doubts about this one.
