I have like, a bajillion forum topics I want to delete. Is it possible to make it so we can delete our forum topics???

Rephrase: Can we be able to delete OUR OWN topics if they are at least one week old?

This has been suggested before, but back then we came to the conclusion that an option like that would make the life of Trolls and crybabies way too easy. Maybe if you can only delete topics older than a week? That way there will have been plenty of time to report any abuse and unsporty people can't delete their forum in the middle of a discussion just because the discussion doesn't go their way.

True. 😋

Thanks. I was hoping I'd get some enthusiastic people...

I do actually support this, just only for the older topics. I have a couple I'd like to delete too 😊 It's just that being able to delete topics instantly would definitely give rise to these types of problems...

Oh. I thought other people would have suggested this earlier, but I made this topic anyways 😋 What kind of problems could happen if you could delete topics? I think the forums would be a lot neater and cleaner.

*pokes her first post*

Those types of problems. People insulting others and making general drama and then deleting the topic almost straight away to cover their tracks. And people suggesting things or moaning about things who don't get the reactions they want and then just delete the topic, despite the fact that a healthy discussion is going on.

Believe me, especially of the latter I've seen a lot, like the topics with newbies suggesting "put insert-rare-creature-name-here back in the cave" who then get all frustrated because people don't agree with them, even if the reasons for not agreeing are explained in a friendly way.

True... *strokes imaginary mustache thoughtfully* I've seen one about putting Tines back in the cave.

I would approve of this. Though everyone should only be able to delete their OWN topics.

I know that this has been suggested before and people pointed out problems with it. However, I think that it would be fine as long as there was a waiting period. The waiting period could be anywhere from a week-30 days, and everyone could only be able to delete their own topics.

Agree. We should definitely be able to delete our old topics, especially if they're outdated, or 'closed'
