Kye was running for so long, she almost forgot why. She looked down at her Aching paws. They were sore and covered in dry blood. She was so scared she almost forgot; she was starving! She looked around carefully and saw an old carcass. It would have to do. She reached down her head and quickly gulped it all down, savoring each bite. She ate until there was nothing left. Then, satisfied for now, she took off at a steady pace. It seemed like hours before she finally found a stream. The water rinsed down her throut like grass in the wind. And as the water poured over her sore paws, she felt so free. She lied down in a comfy patch of grass then looked up at the moon. As she closed her eyes, she wondered if she would ever open thenlm again

It was horrific. A wave of death flowed over the tribe. Kye looked up at her mom, then back down. She had looked nervous wondered if she should be too. She was so bored, she couldn't take it anymore. She hobbled around the corner then froze.
