I shift slightly but immediatly freeze when my branch creaks. "M-my name is Aphrodite... It's n-nice to m-meet you.." My branch cracks and I bolt up, suddenly right on the branch next to Jasper.

I frown, not really understanding what he meant. "What do you mean by that, exactally?" I ask, tilting my head slightly. I was crouched on the branch that Jasper was on, looking straight at him.

"Whatever..." I mutter, climbing onto the branch right above him. "So.. I'm quite surprised to find another human. I was starting to think that I was the only one alive... Or that I might have gone insane." I glance down at him.

Ember tilted her head, listening. It was two humans, talking in the nearby forest. She hissed and carried Ki away, to her den in a blazing furnace.

Jasper glanced at Aphrodite. Their gaze lock for a few seconds, but Jasper looked away. There was no need to make her think that he had a crush on her (wich he doesn't). Jasper liked her as a fiend. "Are you okay?"
