@brendensteel Basically, if you want @pastelfeathers to draw (commission) something for you, she's asking if you'd pay either EC, CC or gift a rare egg.

@pastelfeathers Personally I wouldn't pay you anything; art is something you enjoy, not buy. Plus, CC is actual money...

And don't worry about the lack of posts. The majority of Egg Cave users live in USA, and it's about 2 AM for them XD

I used to do this on Subeta, I'd probably buy from you considering your artwork is beautiful. But I'm not good with pricing. But I'd only be willing to pay in EC.

And EC would be perfectly fine, can I ask what's the highest you would go?
Also, since most of the above are doodles and a real picture would include more detail and a background, would you be willing to pay more?

@pastelfeather I have around 300,000 EC in total. 😋 I used to feed alot, but now my internet was demoted a bit. I had very high speed internet, and now it's just the AVERAGE high speed internet. T-T

Truly, I love your artwork, I do some sketches every so often, but I've failed to have any creativeness these past years, I can honestly say that my creature ideas are very simple to come up with, though they aren't as to what I'm aiming for.

I'm not at all sure of how much but I'd say around 500K-1M range. Somewhere on those lines, and yes, I'd be most definite to pay more.

It's fine, really! I'm all hyped up on coffee at this point.

Few weeks ago I planned on doing this exact thing, though I knew I couldn't commit myself to drawing as much. Though, at this time I've become inspired by many deviant artists after roaming around the site and I've decided to give it another shot. Basically, I'm wanting to improve my art skills, especially considering I started taking painting this school semester.

I just did a little squeal at your price range, I certainly hope everyone could be as generous as you, and to be honest, I would feel silly asking for more than 500k per picture. ❤️

And oh! Hmm, would you be interested in a joint venture? Like we'd have a united shop name, but then people can commission as individually? I always find that it's better to offer a variety of styles when opening a store. 😃

Awwwww, I love the colour scheme for Hope, she's absolutely stunning. And Jiro reminds me of my friends hyper Corgi, much much love for him and his cute position. ❤️

Hmmm, I find that sketching on paper is nice in that it's traditional. I certainly hope that you'll be drawing more in the future (and send them to me so I can squeal something more). 😊

Considering I've grown up with my sister who is the most amazing artist I've ever seen, I've been always wanting to be as good as hers, I can't even tell you, me and her would be watercolor painting beside each other and shed tell me how it didn't come out any good, I'd look at it in amazement and disappointment as I watch her throw it away.

That sounds awesome, I've never done any art shop collaboration of that sort before, but it sounds fun.

Thank you, I could think of anything and I was inspired by multiple things and mashed them together, Jiro had randomly popped into my head, at times he would end up too fat too skinny, but eventually I got things looking pretty good.

I'm planning on going on the computer right away, I started working on a sketch of an elven, and I want to try improving it on the computer.

@pastelfeathers i would pay ec. however on eggcave we dont have forum signatures, so there would be nowhere to put the art :/

most people who buy art use it as layouts or for siggies, although you COULD put it elsewhere.

I like your art 😊 I think it would sell better if we could actually add them onto our Profiles, etc. I know we can link but it's not the same. Remember your time is worth a lot as well 😊

I see a a lot of great artists on Subeta who charge fee's based on what the drawing style will be, color, sketch, couples, etc. Instead of putting just an overall price. Some take more time than others.

Ah. The lament of the one on the side, I can totally empathize with you, I have a friend who makes me feel the exact same way. And what's worse is that she truly believes her art to be inferior, despite various reassurances from strangers and close friends. ☹️
It makes me rather sad about my own little doodles, which tend to be more cartoony than true realism. D:

I admire that ability! I'm afraid I'm better at interpreting other's people's idea as opposed to coming up with my own, it's why I'm choosing not to draw any creature ideas. :/
And I can assure you, Jiro turned out perfect fine, though to be honest, I like my animals chubby, something about a chubby animal just makes me smile. XD

That's a very good point, hmm, I suppose unless EggCave is thinking of expanding the mechanics of the site, there is less need than some of the other pet sites I've been on.

There's not much I can do about the profile part, I suppose I will simply have to accept that less people will be willing to buy due to this fact. D:
