i quit recently. i just came back this january and missed out about a year and a half of eggcave.. LOTS of things have changed and im still catching up on values of certain items. thats why im frustrated when im trying to offer on a lot and they say "oh i dont know just offer on it!'' well... i would if i knew what it was worth.... anyways i didnt make a big deal about quitting... i just gradually start getting on less and less. i cant just quit like BAM and it will all be over.

I think that everyone has a choice to quit. They can do whatever they like really. They don't have to announce it, but they can if they want to.

The quitting drama isnt ALL to do with the quitters, friends or "friends" of those quitting choose to make a big deal out of it too.

They whine, moan and groan as if it were one of their real friends moving away. It isnt.

I respect anyone's decision to quit, even if I may miss them.

What I hate is when people announce they quit just to gain attention. Then after a whole lot of drama and giving/getting of pets they decide to not quit after all and everyone's happy.

I honestly think we could do WITHOUT those things, but hey, humans will be humans.

I'm stuck, I'm in Acadamia 500 AF (from what I remember) where the cocoon falls, and I'm so close to getting to the end but this big BEAST comes out and it's like a lion thing, when it stands up it comes out with a giant samurai sword and automatically clears your HP once it hits you with it.

I feel as if he's unbeatable because my stats for both Serah and Noel are close to maxed out.

One of my most favorite Final Fantasy characters/monsters...

Most people don't quit just to follow a crowd. They quit for reasons that they just dont want to share with a crowd of judgemental strangers on eggcave.

There seems to always be a monthly surge of quitters/hiatus.
Eggcave seems to stay relatively active despite it, though.
However, I really tend to feel a lot of it is a bandwagon effect, hence why so many seem to be here the next day.:x

Oh, relleh?
Have you gotten to beating Paco Amethyst and Luvulite?

Tip for leveling up: I go to Acadamia 400 AF and defeat a lot of monsters I get around 200-500 CP per battle. In a few minutes you should get 15K-20K CP 😊 and when using the Crystarium on the big orbs you should ONLY level up the stat you want your character to position, for example, Serah is a Ravager for me, so I level that stat up with only the larger orbs, and I level up the others with the small orbs.

I'm not sure if that's how you're doing it.
But sometimes you can mess up your stats if you don't do that.
I learned that the hard way while battling Caius.

I just need to figure out my stats and max out Serah and Noel more. I keep messing up. I know...if you mess up your stats and just don't do something right...you are definitely going to die.

EDIT: And half of them hadn't actually quit. From what I see, it had been for attention, not meant to insult anyone, but it's from how I see it.

I don't think she /shouldn't/ post them on the forums. She is only stating an opinion and it's not her fault if people get offended. If they get upset, she really CAN'T control their reactions and how they handle their composure and demeanor about any situation. Yet, we have no idea why people quit, I think the reason this topic was posted was to discuss the "bandwagon effect" of quitting which I agree is really weird and foolish and quite frankly annoying. & to discuss why people are faking deaths, quitting for attention, blah blah blah. ETC ETC ETC.

For instance, if @sky quit because I quit, it would make a lot of her other friends would be angry, confused, and disappointed. Yup, all 3. If I did it for attention, not only would I glomp my own face, but it's self explanatory.

Yes, they might have a different reason. But hey, since you are already putting it out there that you are quitting, save people the silly option of quitting and causing a domino effect and be sincere. That's my idea of it all.
