Egg Cave is OBVIOUSLY breaking apart. The insane part? This is internet people. Anyone can lie, anyone can twist the truth. If someone supposedly "died", we have no reason to believe it, unless we get evident proof. This, again, is the internet, where anyone can make up false stories, etc. We can quit, but quitting can be a lie. My point is, can we all just...stop with the lies? Can we just make Egg Cave back to what it was in the old days, where old users would help out the new, and there wouldnt be so much dang drama around here? Can we just...stop being so rude to some others, or you know...just be nice? I know, people do get annoying. I understand that. But in my opinion, there is no reason to get really overdramatic. If someone "dies", sure, be sad, but also know it might be a twisted lie. And those that do lie about stuff like this (im not pointing any fingers here) do we have to be so cruel, and put other people through unecessary worries/sadness? no. i know there are people who get confused, and will think that someone has indeed died, but again, who knows if its a fake or not? Post your sympathies, and thats it you know? Im just saying..can we just please, stop with all this nonsense?

i know im probably gonna get flamed for this, but i cant help but post my feelings/thoughts on this for the moment..

There is a reason why Zac posted that we shouldn't believe every single word posted online. It's the INTERNET. People lie.


Plus, people want change. We can't go back. I'd wish it was as good as then, but that's partly due to rosy retrospection. There were bad days then too. We just forgot about that stuff.

The number or rant/drama threads on EggCave is quite high...

But I agree that you shouldn't trust what you hear/read on the Internet, it's just too easy to make it up.

I for one, do agree. Don't believe everything you hear.

With full honesty: My uncle died last Monday. I don't go around posting it everywhere. I guess it's different because, he wasn't on EggCave or anything, but still. Death is a tragedy, not a trophy. I think it's absolutely disrespectful to all of humanity to lie about a death. But that's just my opinion.

I'm taking a hiatus, starting tomorrow, as I said last night. This drama has gotten out of hand. So many people rant and argue, and even I have several things I could complain about, as do we all. But I'm not complaining to anyone.

While the oldies are gone, you guys really need to try and bring EggCave at peace again. So maybe people will come back soon and be happy with the result. 😊 The longer this goes on, the more users we'll lose.

@Rawrcookies08 That was pretty worthless to post I can say. First off, it ticks me off when topics are just "locked." You didn't make this topic.
I wouldn't even call this a website. It's more like a drama show. This should be a kids' site, but at this point it's not, and there's no use fixing it.
It may seem easy for you to "get over it", but this is serious now.

The only reason I hate when people ask for topics to be closed is that *this is a complainer pet peeve of mine* I think too many topics get locked. I dunno. It annoys me personally.

Why?
Because one person can't start drama.
It takes two to tango.
There is always going to be someone out there who disagrees with you and sometimes it gets out of hand.
We even see this in real life.
Drama is a collective effort, and like bullying, or lying it cannot be completely stopped.

@Balletninja I don't have much more to do at the moment, so I figured, leave while I can. 😋 I have some things in my real life to sort out, and the drama that people try to start here is overwhelming.

I do agree though. One person can't start a drama. It would be like a soap opera with only one character. It wouldn't be "drama" at all.
The drama here actually does seem to tie into lying and bullying, now that I think of it.
You know what EggCave needs, a counselor.
Like, a real counselor. Or counselorS. We could have like forms to fill on EggCave if we wanted to apply. Counseling users would be on only to address issues, like a mod, only dealing with more emotional problems.

Or something similar to a Council of Elders. Long time users helping and mentoring the newer users. Older users helping younger users. You don't have to like each other to work towards the same goal.

Just to give good advice and smooth over the rough edges.

I think some of the drama is brought to light when people start ranting. I guess you have something to say, say it when you arent angry?

People will be people so there will always be drama. I guess even with moderators we still cant stop all drama. And really, people take the internet as a place where they can just ignore all manners and common courtesy.

I think if we all behaved the way we would in front of teachers or bosses or parents, we'd get along much better.

Just because you cant see someone physically doesnt mea you should rattle off insults or lie and cheat.

I suppose anyone can do what they like because somepeople don't care about others, but for those who want a sense of community, we should at least try and behave appropriately.
