Tessa looked up at Kay in this new way. She may be a bit rough at first but she seemed like a truly beautiful person. And her poor brother.
Tessa's eyes got stormy.
What about......wait......if her brother got attacked,didnt that mean...HE was a zombie??

Cyra looked around and looked at the necklace again."Everyone is explaining what happens to them so I'll give the plot of mine...I lived with only my mother for as long as I could remember...then while I was reading outside I heard screaming and moaning I ran in a I saw her...lifeless dead and hungry....she attacked me and cut me near the ribs as the reason my blouse is bloodied I escaped and found ye...l" she said silently

Kay looked at the crying Katia.
"Hey." she said soothingly "Hey kid, dont worry, we got ya. We're safe here." she surprised herself on how gentle she could be. The raging war had sucked all the feelings from her but with these kids she felt quite protective. She felt simpathie for them too. They were too young to suffer from this stupid virus. They'd lost their families and had left their homes. They were running for their lives. They didn't deserve this.

EDIT: After hearing Cyra's story she stood up quickly and exited the building. After a while she came back with a first aid kit. She had taken it from the jeep and was now taking out the bandages and patches. The girl was wounded and it looked like a deep wound. Kay wasn't going to just stand there and do nothing. She was going to help these kids.

Katia looked at Cyra. Poor girl, attacked by the one she trusted most. 'I remember.. When Anton and I would play chess out in the garden, and sometimes he would let me win... And we would play cops and robbers with our friends... And we had a swimming pool, an indoor, heated swimming pool! And dad would buy us toffee... And he would give us yummy desserts after our dinner....' Katia bit her lip... She must sound like a spoilt rich girl...

Tessa sighed. Its been such a long day. She fingered her locket (http://verabattemarco.com/images/D/small-heart-locket-pink-stone-1.jpg) and pulled a light wool shawl from her bag. She was covered in sweat,dust,dirt,and zombie blood. She just wanted to sleep.

"Hey, wait, hold up before you fall asleep." Kay said. After she'd cleaned up Cyra's wound and had bandaged it she went outside again coming back with a dozen blankets. She gave each teen a blanket and then handed Cyra a new clean blouse. She plopped down next to the fire and lay down facing the hole in the roof.

Katia curled up in her blankets, making a little nest. She opened her book. She had already read it three times but it was the only thing she had.

Tessa thanked her quietly....or at least she thought she did. It probably came out in a mumble.

She took a large blanket that had odd native american designs on it and curled up near the fire.

Tessa pulled out her grandpa's old pocket knife and slipped it near her head.She stared into the flames before falling alseep.

Laying on the sand and dust Kay closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. She's become an insomniac ever since her brother got killed but the teens didnt need to know that. She didnt need their pity nor did she need their concern.

Katia twisted and turned, but the book bored her now. She sighed. In the manor there had been full libraries of her favourite types of books... She had never ran out of reading material...

Kay suddenly stood up. Most of the teens had fallen asleep so she didnt notice two girls that were awake.(you know which two girls im talking about)

Kay quietly took the ladder and placed it on the hole on the roof, climbing it and sitting on the edge of the hole, her feet dangling from the side.

She looked at the city. It was in ruins. Taking out another cigarette she lit it up and took a drag.

She didnt know what she was going to do about those kids...

Surprised Kay almost fell throught the hole, catching herself up at the last second.

"Do you do that often? Giving people heart attacks I mean..." she asked sarcastically. "Why arent you asleep?" she asked looking off at the distance again. That girl intimidated Kay, she was quite interesting.

Cyra was sitting against a rock where she held a picture.In the picture was a small red head with curly hair girl standing next to a tall thin woman with large blue eyes long curly blonde hair and looked like Cyra.It was Cyra when she was younger with her mother.She looked at the picture and light tears fell down her cheeks but she wiped then away quickly.

Kay scooped away to make place for the girl and in the process she noticed the picture that was tucked in the girl's clutches. It was a picture of a blonde woman and some red haired girl.

"That you?" she asked motioning to the picture.
