I put a space, then (, then a space, then @karamel, then another space, then ), THEN a full stop.

Can you see the ( and ) ?

What is this? o_O I've tested it on my wall and it's just normal.

Hm. I dunno! I'm not an html or programming expert, but maybe it's something to do with your browser reading a certain script on a page or something like that. Sorry! 😋

edit: try cliking Ctrl+ shift and then type. i dont know if that would help but worth a shot :/

@thursdays_dove You have to put a space before the brackets.

@orange + @himitsutenshin You have to use the same circumstances I was in.

Just saying, but a mod isn't going to look at this thread with a title like this. ._. Try a more reasonable title like "Problem Pinging on Forums" or "Forum Parentheses Pinging Issues". With a title like "Forum: Y U NO LIKE BRACKETS", it is much less likely for you to be taken seriously.
