About Freezes?

Im curious.. Ive been through the trading forum and see people asking for freezes and trading them off, but when i went to buy some, i have to attach it to a creature.. are these people selling their frozen pets, the freezes individually or the CC for them? And if individually, how is that done?

@sierravashti Basically they are trading the CC needed for a freeze.
