Reconstructing LE creatures (Loyal User perk)

Since some creatures are slowly becoming unobtainable, I suggest it should be possible to reconstruct LE creatures at the research labs under these conditions:

- A user can reconstruct all creatures, but each only once (EDIT: and only on their main account)
- This should be available to accounts of 6 months or older for regular LE creatures, and for accounts of 1 year or older for CS creatures (maybe an activity goal as well so active users can get it earlier)
- It should be horrifically expensive, these creatures should remain rare & special (I suggest 5 to 10 mil EC, with the possibility to pay 1000 CC instead, we have to think of Ian too after all 😊)
- The reconstructed creatures should be marked with a small shield with an R on their picture (think Ian's staff shield) and/or the original creatures should get a shiny 1st edition shield/banner on their profile, profile - not picture, like the essence of litsdnats
-Maybe the creatures should only be reconstructable around the time of their original release, to make holidays even more special 😊

I decided to propose this seeing as there are many calling for things like breeding etc. Also because I think everyone should be able to collect the creatures they want, if they try hard enough. Right now you often have to tell newbies that they have no chance in hell of EVER getting that creature they want.

Could you make LEs available in the Cave for one day for users older than 1.5 yrs? Also, could yo uput some in the CashShop (onny, doovoo, macbot)

@_icarlyrocks_55 Yeah, but I think getting them from the cave is too random and too easy, some people would not be able to get them at all, while the lucky ones would end up with multiple creatures without having to do anything special.

And ofcourse this perk would be in addition to the 50 free CC a month 😸

@balletninja I think some will hate it, but most will be OK with it after getting used to the idea, since the originals will remain special. We've had a debate on this when the Balrogi was put into the CS as well, and most protesters would have been OK with that if they would have at least gotten some kind of token to show theirs was special.

EDIT: I still think Ian should give us a Banner on our Balrog for completing the Halloween plot 😈

EDIT2: Actually I'd love the shiny 1st edition banner for my creatures 😸

The thing is my account isn't even a year old /: So we have to be fair to new users also, who couldn't obtain these eggs.

The difficulty with these things is that the users who got the originals will want them to stay rare & special, while new users want them ASAP. This doesn't necessarily have to be available to everyone, it's something so everyone can at some point get an egg they really want. Not so they can get it straight away, but so it doesn't seem completely hopeless and so there is at least a possibility for everyone to get their cave complete. But maybe the limit could be lower, like 6 months and a year instead of 1 and 2 years 😊

Edit: Yeah I guess with conditions like I put up the limit could be lower, I'll edit it into the first post 😊

That would be better. I understand your point but I've been on for I think, 10 months? And I've been working since then to get a Macbot and Onny. 😋

Would this idea, LE creatures in the Lab, stay there forever? Because if it wouldn't, it might be unfair to young users. 😋

Overall, I really like the idea and I hope it will be used. 😊

Yeah, I think it should stay forever and all creatures should be included. The advantage to older users will be the ability to get cheaper first editions on their first release. I think there's no problem leaving them there forever, since the later a user joins, the harder they'll have to work to get all the pets, since they're expensive and more and more pets will be released and become retired.

It's just that on a site like this I think you should be able to collect all those pretty eggs in the archives in some way or other 😸 I have people begging for my Onny sometimes and it's really annoying, but a lot of those people deserve some sympathy as well, they really want those pets but getting them is becoming utterly impossible...

Understandable. 😊 I'd want them to stay in there forever as well.

And it is true, it still seems udderly impossible to me to get the eggs I've wanted. 😋 So if this new feature is used, it would help everyone and there won't be an overload of rare eggs. 😊

this is smart but I think the cs creatures reconstruction should be avalible to users that are like 8 months.

Well Ian can be flexible. Maybe depending on a user's activeness and rep he will allow them to go earlier and obtain these eggs.

When it should start is definitely hard to decide, but I think not later than 1 year after joining, there aren't that many users who even last that long, most that leave do so relatively quickly. I personally think 6 months isn't that bad, especially if creatures will only be available around their original release, since it could then still take up to 1,5 years after you've joined for you to be able to buy the creature you want if you've just missed the date...

I like the activeness idea, but that seems hard to implement and I also know some people who love to collect, always feed back and take great care of their eggs, but are hardly ever on. It would be a bit unfair towards them...

Well if you go on and feed you're relatively active. Not like everyday, but like every week or every other day and so. If they take good care of their eggs and usually they're not dying on and off, then that would mean they're pretty active.

That's true, but it would still take them a long time to reach such an activity goal. In that case I'd say do both an account age and an activity goal, then some really active people could get it earlier, while the rest get it after a descent time anyway.

i like it!!!
i just read it after i make my topic ' i got a dream ' in the beginning i had no visa and i get one special for eggcave but i was to late to by an Doovoo and Macbot i would pay almost any price to get to get one of those😊

That's exactly what I mean, some of the pets are just too rare now. To older users it's incredibly hard to trade for these creatures, while new users can hardly even hope to ever get creatures of enough value to trade for them (and then you still have to find someone who's willing to trade...) I think adding this would make trying to collect all the creatures a lot more fun than it is now 😊

@dionaea I like this idea as well because the super rares are so rare that new user have next to no hope of getting them... and with the high price it will increase feeding and make it so they don't become common... 😃 But maybe make it available more than once, perhaps every 2 months of account age after the initial one. With the price it would still be pretty difficult for these to become common.

this is a good idea, but I think it should be more than 10 million ec. im pretty close to that already 😋 and also, the age limit should be older, like 9 months.

This is like having a pet that's a 2nd edition pet. It's value would be much lower than the original pet of course. there are both pros and cons to it.

In a way it is, but the problem of not being able to get the creatures you want is getting bigger and bigger, especially for newbies. The CS monthlies aren't going to help with this either, there are so many cash pets are being released now, that collecting is becoming just about impossible. I see this as a reasonably acceptable way to keep creatures from becoming extinct and for everyone to get their dream pet (and as a better alternative for breeding or releases of retired pets in the cave which have also been suggested).

Very good Idea! Its not just there aren't enough super rares but there is no super rare's anyone is trading! I've had the perfect value for a onny for ages 😋 Yet no ones trading them. This would be great. To let the newer users have a chance 😸 And the older ones who try to hard for one.
