He pressed a green button on the pad and suddenly you blacked out. When you awoke, you saw children running around you, laughing and playing. "This was my childhood," you said silently. It wasn't like this in the present, where there were mechanical vehicles surrounding you. You wished that it would go back to normal. But then you realized, you had to fix the past before fixing the present.

@bunnyshadow Apparently, you are the the past. Something happened in the past that made the future a mechanical world, and you hated it. Somebody pressed a green button and you blacked out, cause you were time travelling.
