So whose ready for season 2 to start on Sunday? I know I'll be on my couch, or possibly a friend's couch, excitedly watching.

But lets not just discuss the show here, we can talk about the books too. 😉 Everything about A Song of Ice and Fire is welcome here.

I'm part way through A Dance with Dragons. Still need to get around to finishing it, especially since I've had it in the apartment since it was released. >.<

@orderedchaos I've not read any of the books and was not all that interested in the show, even though I enjoy fantasy stories, but I was bored and started watching the S1 episodes on Demand... And it's interesting. Definitely not my favorite or anything like that, but worthy of discussion. At first it seemed like it was going to be all sex and female nudity but it sort of balances out (I've watched 5 episodes) and that's not all it is, and in any case it is an interesting world so I shall continue to watch at least for a little while.

@femme_gauche Yeah, its not a story that's for everyone. The shear scope and number of story lines and characters to keep track of tend to put people off. But, for me, that's one of the reasons I love it so much.

The show is one of my favorites! I'm finishing the "little" third book and I'm loving it! I almost cried in some pieces of the history, but the book (and all the colection) is great! Can't wait for the 2nd season. *-*

@orderedchaos Well that is an aspect that is attractive to me, and as I said, I like the world that is created, drawing from a variety of real past cultures and mixing them up with fantasy elements. It'll take awhile, though, for me to get all the characters straight! HBOGO and OnDemand are very handy.

@OrderedChaos Oh gosh, I watch this ^^" But not on tv, my brother downloads the episodes, so I haven't watched any in a while because, well, he's lazy X3
