@rin I agree, it can be really annoying if someone is roleplaying and uses bad grammar, spelling, or just doesn't put any effort it. Although my pet hate with roleplayers is when they use first person xP

@duchess First person in roleplaying is completely inconsiderate of all the other roleplayers. The story is about ALL the characters, not just yours.That is to say . . . I agree with you completely. ^^; And by "yours" I don't specifically mean you. General "yours."

@silver_winged haha it's alright, I understood you ^^ Mostly though, I find it confusing when people roleplay in first person, I can never remember their character's names, so it's really hard to refer to them 😊

@duchess I just think it's rude. My roleplaying pet peeve is abuse of punctuation. So many people here either have blatantly incorrect punctuation (no spaces after commas?) or they find it necessary to use a million and one exclamation points. It's very irksome. (Also, smilies are not appropriate substitutions for a description of a character's expression. It is not appropriate to say, "She made a :/ face." Just no.)EggCave has a long way to go.

I know. I think it annoying when people do stuff likejessy: hey! I shooted to lilly i have a plNWhen it should be like;"Hey!" Jessy shouted to Lily, "I have a plan!"XD So much improvement

@silver_winged That is so true. Also, incorrect spelling and the use of 'your' instead of 'you're' really gets on my nerves.@linpug, Would you believe that I used to be part of a roleplay where everybody (except me) would write something like that? Oh, the things I do for views xP
silver_winged • 31 March 2012 at 9:52 PM
@duchess Your/you're, their/there/they're, and its/it's. That's all I can say.

@duchess No O__e
duchess • 31 March 2012 at 9:57 PM
@linpug, Yeah...I immortalised a couple of creatures that way, but my sanity was severely stretched. On the other had, I really didn't have to work too hard for those views - each post was only about a sentence long ^^

@rinYeah, I can understand what you mean. Whenever I've role-played I've always liked to write at least a few lines to explain what my character is doing. Luckily the role plays I've joined have had propper grammer in them. But the one thing I don't understand sometimes is when people talk in first person. In my personal opinion I like it in third person.Also when people are playing more than one character and do something likeTerry: *insert whatever the character does here*Kirsten:- *insert whatever this character does here*I always find it quite weird. Why can't you just write what those characters do in 3rd person using the names in the text.I also get confused when people do more than one character in a role play. I think it would always be better to do one and stick at it , because it's easier to develop the character.Well that's just my opinion.

I started a roleplay, and no one joined and I think this may have been because of the rules I included, including a minimum sentence rule when replying to posts. I just want to roleplay with people that know how to roleplay. SHORT POSTS MAKE ME MAD. XD
