RANT #6: Jokes

I thought this would be fitting for todays event. If you have something against my opinion feel free to state why, I most likely will not respond.

It seems most users I've seen on here can't take a joke. It's April Fools, and really all I can say is that this whole Yeep event is part of an April Fools joke, do you guys honestly believe that Ian would do this, knowing he'd probably lose A LOT of members? I think not.

The creatures will return back to normal by tomorrow, and those who are complaining about trades, can't you wait until tomorrow? I know that some people have a crazy addiction to trading, but today why not sit back and relax? There's always tomorrow, it's not the end of the world.

I just find it ridiculous that on every holiday event on Egg Cave, Ian does whatever he can to make the event special, and yet everyone continues to complain for him doing something completely wrong, when really, he's doing something right, and I thank him for everything he's doing for us.

Anyways, Yeeper Fools everyone!

I know, everybody needs to calm down and stop being so freaking dramatic. You're not going to quit Egg Cave because of this -_- And I traded since I won an auction, all you have to do is look at the creature and it says the real species.

I sorta agree, but it is hard to see other peep's creature species, and I'm really not a yeep person.

Even if this is a prank, which it is, and I have a pretty good sense of humor, this does still annoy me. I can't say I don't agree with you though...

xD I agree. BUT I LOVE THESE YEEPS. 8D I'm too lazy to hatch them but.. I'm happy they are all hatched yeeps. if i find out that it was coming from the yeep collections.. I'm going to freak out.

@sky I'm on the fence about this whole thing. People shouldn't consider quitting because of it, but I understand how upsetting it can be, because I'm upset about it to.
I'd be fine about it normally, but this is honestly giving me a headache. I'm trying my best not to go to anyone's coves now, but it's just.. you can't avoid it, I guess. And getting off the computer didn't help me either so nobody needs to suggest that. =.=
I just wish Ian could've made it so that you could decide whether or not you wanted a cove full of yeeps.
I've never been a yeep person, either. They scare me.
When I first saw this- I thought I was hacked. It was funny for the first 10 minutes, but my head started to hurt and I still feel like throwing up. It's just not funny to everyone. >~>

@Zafeyry - Quitting because of this is like saying,
"I'm quitting Egg Cave because Ian decided to make a joke on everyone by turning everyone's creatures into Yeeps just for today."

@Meixiaotian - I'm not a Yeep person either, but it doesn't hurt to laugh once in a while.

@Jayjay1 - I thought the same. (x

@Rin - I agree with most parts of what you said, although in those situations I just don't look through peoples coves, no matter how tempting it is.

am I the only one who wants a whole cove full of yeeps XD i would love it, it would be awesomatic if this could last till my birthday april the ninth, lol XD I like to celebrate april fools on my birthday so, I normally dont celebrate it until the ninth, XD but this is just awesome, and come on people its suppose to be funny, can't you all take a joke stop complaning and go have fun, AND TO ALL A HAPPY GOOD EASTER. lol XD i ate all your skittles april fools there in my pocket here you go. 😃

@sky i totally agree. Like the christmas release thing? People were complaining about THAT, and how weighted rarity went down for rare creatures because of it. Everyone always gives ian a hard time about eggcave, which he tries REALLY hard on. I mean, it does make trading harder, but really? it just means two extra seconds to check which creatures are which, it's not like you can't trade anymore.

D: I still wanted a fish creature for april fools but I guess I'll secretly go to my friends house and tape fishes on everywhere(and make his dog dress as a fish)

I have nothing against this joke though 😱 but I wish the critters just disappear rather then turn to yeeps xD I think it would be funnier~

"THIS ISN'T FUNNY! CHANGE THEM BACK!", and, "I WANT TO TRADE NOW, CHANGE THEM BACK!"

Really? Why is it that you NEED to trade, and why now? If your life happens to be ending in a certain amount of time I can see why it has to be now even though it'd be rather pointless, and do you really NEED to? If you need to I'd think you're being harassed or threatened into NEEDING to trade.

Some of you are taking things too seriously.
I feel sorry for what Ian has to deal with around here.

I'm not mad at all, I think it's funny. And like people have said, it's only going to be for ONE day. I think it's a lot funnier than the Aprils Fools joke that's being played over on Neopets.
