This seems unnecessary to me. I don't see anything wrong with someone's character having the same name or appearance as another character. Although, people shouldn't be "stealing" entire characters without the creator's permission. Hopefully copyright laws will take care of that, though, unless it only goes for publishing, in which case it would probably be fine. Either way, it's perfectly fine for a character to have the same name or appearance as another character. Posting a character in this thread doesn't change that. ;P
