You are heading to Florida. You're life has sucked beforehand. You had to deal with bullies, and the terrible pollution. You are a nature freak. You love all animals.
You arrive in Florida excited to see the Manatees. The gentile and docile "sea-cows".
The first one you see is damaged by pollution. It is sickly, and it has trash stuck to it everywhere. It quickly seems to bond with you. You named him Marlen. You have told many of your friends about him
Now, what do you do to try to save him?..

um, how do you actually meet the manatee? You have to go way out to the ocean, I think. Look it up on the internet. If you want this to be a book, you have to describe more, and add in more info on how you met it.

Description: She has hair to the middle of her back. It's dark, dark brown and looks black. It has butterscotch highlights in it that looks like stripes. She has an array of t-shirts like things saying 'I'm a dinosaur. Rawr and stuff,' to 'Love the Earth! It's Your home!' She has her favorite pair of cowgirl boots with jewels on the top. She is more of a boot cut jean girl. She always has a scrunchie. Either, in her hair or on her wrist. She's tall for 11-year-old fifth grader.
