I glare at Zaylia's back and crouch down, setting my guitar case down. I had broughten my acoustic today and was already itching to play something. I snap open the locks and open up the case lid. I run a finger along the smooth surface of the polished wood and smile.

I snap my case closed and bring it with me to lunch. I had missed my first few classes with out knowing it. I walk into the lunch room and sit down on a table. I have a small salad with me, not feeling hungry. I open up my guitar case and pull out my guitar. I quietly and quickly tune it, listening by ear. I smile and strum the first chord.

Sirius and Alex stopped and Alex grabbed a microphone and said into it, "OK that was a little sneak peek for you until the dance. Our band is looking for a base and a lead singer so stop by the location on the fliers and try out." Sirius and Alex began to play again.

Sammie shrugged.

Joseph smiled, "Sylvia you going to the dance with someone?"

I sigh, shielding out the music. I walk over to a quiet corner of the cafeteria, picking up my guitar. I start to play a quick spanish song, my fingers flying across the neck of the guitar. I fingerpick the strings.

I play a bit louder, not singing. The song speaks for it's self, weaving it's own story with it's quick beat and even faster notes. I glance up without missing a beat.
