I love The Hunger Games.
Of course I do.
But now EVERYONE does.
It's because of the movie.
Now everyone is reading the book because of the movie.
There's action figures, posters, standees, shirts, bags,
EVERYTHING!
It's just....
Overkill.

Do you know of the Team Peeta and Team Gale thing they started?
WHY THE HECK DO SOMETHING LIKE THEY DID WITH THE STUPID TWILIGHT SAGA.

I absolutely hate Twilight.
HATE IT.
And the entire, 'Team Peeta', 'Team Gale' thing
is so entirely un-needed.

@Whispers

And now there is a bunch of fan-girls.
Buying $16 pins,
$20 action figures,
$30 standees,
It's ridiculous. Dx

@crooton1 I know how you feel. I don't like that people are reading the books and so "OH MY GOD I LOVE HUNGER GAMES" mostly because of the movie. For the people who already knew about it and read the books way before (like me) it's annoying.

@morgana

I, myself have read all the books before the movie came out.
I was actually happy to see some merchandise, a cup. So I bought it, and then a ton of fangirl junk came out. It's ridiculous. :/

I hate that.
You know what I REALLY hate?
When people say, "I'm a HUGE superfan of the Hunger Games! Like the number one fan!! 😃" And I go, "Awesome! Me too! My favorite book was Catching Fire! What about you?" And they go, "Oh, I've only seen the movie. What's Catching Fire?"

I really hate that. I hate this. I talk with my friends about the hunger games and I add people from the books thinking they would know them and they said they didn't exist. I ask them if they read the book, "nope!"

I hate those kind of people.

Them: 'I LOOOOOOVE THE HUNGER GAMES!!!!!'
Me: 'How many books have you read?'
Them: 'There's books?'

@crooton1
The hype is actually quite annoying but I suppose it's something for people to get excited about.
Personally I cannot stand the movie nor the books, I mean the first one was alright but after that I actually lost the will to finish reading.

@crooton1 I know. It ticks me off. Same thing with Harry Potter. One of my friends claims she's an enourmous fan but she won't read the books because "she doesn't read and the books are too long." WE'RE TEENAGERS, PEOPLE. I THINK YOU CAN READ. -______-

@cotton

I agree. I don't consider people 'real fans' if they don't read the original books.

Like I write FanFiction, and someone asked why I'd make a character called Peeves and put him into the story. O.O He's a CANON character.

Also, how people think that cause the movie showed Neville and Luna makes it canon (real)

It doesn't. JK Rowling stated that Neville ends up with Hannah Abbot.

@Sakura2596

Don't place judgement unless you are willing to read the book.

And I HATE the people who aren't even willing to read the book because the movies are more convenient. There is so much more depth in the book that you just can't miss and get the same feelings for the characters.

I started the series the day mockingjay came out 😊

I like the mockingjay pins though.
I think for Catching Fire I am going to dress up like I am from district 4.

@duchess
Why would there be a Team Katniss? The teams are about which boy gets the girl. (I.E. will Katniss date Peeta? Or will she date Gale?) Same thing with Twilight - Team Edward and Team Jacob. 😋

@cotton
I posted what it meant in brackets. XD

Canon is used to describe something that's real on a book or show.

Like if someone wanted Harry and Hermione to get together, that's NOT canon.

But if they liked Ron and Hermione that IS Canon.

I am a fan of the Hunger Games as well, I didn't read the books until I heard about the movie, don't get me wrong but I purchased the first book long ago and eventually waited for the others to release and buy them, I was caught up in other book and when I heard that the movie was releasing I had wanted to push aside my other books to catch up, and so I did.

I saw the movie three times and soon to be my fourth time, I'm glad that they are being noticed but some of it is too much, I happen to be a collector, but there's no way I'm going out and buying every single cut-out of them, it also ticked me off how some of the fans haven't read the book.

It also bothers me how some of these "fans" are bothered by how Rue is black. If they paid close attention to the first book it says that she has brown skin and reminds Katniss of Prim, it didn't say she LOOKS like Prim.

@cqpkytty I know ^^ What I meant was, it's kind of annoying that all some people can take out of the series is who Katniss will end up with. It's not really the point of the story (if you get what I mean).

@Crooton1 I don't hate the Hunger Games, but they're not my favorite either.

The hype used to be so crazy here that I absolutely REFUSED to get involved. But I saw the movie on Saturday, even though I haven't read the books.

The movie is good, but I'm not gonna call myself a fangirl. X3

And~~~~ YOU'RE ONLINE! *glomp*
