Beaches, Summer and Fun!

This is just a light roleplay, as I need one. No specific plot, this is just a pretty much free world

It's Summer Break and you're on vacation in Miami, Florida! There's new people to meet, new sights to see and new adventures to go on!

That's it. That's all there is. 😊 Just some open roleplay.

RULES:

Literate. Literate. Literate. No other words to describe it. Use quotations, know the difference between the 'there's'. Between your and you're or I will loose my mind.

No Mary Sues. In other words, no perfect characters. They MUST have a flaw. And no, being shy does NOT count as a flaw.

Longer posts. No short paragraph posts. And roleplay must be in third person. And past tense.

Post OOC or use (()) when writing a post that isn't part of the roleplay.

I don't mean to be harsh, but I do want a decent roleplay.

MY CHARACTERS:

Name: Camille
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Looks: Blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'4. Her hair is long, down to her mid back but is often quite frizzy, so she throws it up in a lazy pony tail. She wears a laid back style and sticks with blouses and jeans/dress pants.
Personality: Camille is a student at a University located in Canada. She is too serious, and reluctant to have fun. It took awhile for her sister to convince her to attend the trip and she intends to do lots of studying. Her sense of humor is lacking, and she'd rather hang out with one good friend than a group.
Relationships: Emma's identical twin sister. Noah's sister

Name: Emma
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Looks: Blonde frizzy hair, blue eyes, 5'4. She spends hours picking out outfits, and doing her hair.
Personality: They may be identical twins but Emma and Camille couldn't be more different. Emma is vain, selfish and likes to have too much fun. Taking risks and shopping include some of her favourite activities and she enjoys manipulating others to get her way.
Relationships: Camille's identical twin sister. Noah's sister.

Gender: Male
Age: 19
Looks: Brown sandy hair, blue eyes. Tanned, and tall.
Personality: He's easy going and serious. While he loves to have fun, he also loves to do his work for Law school as he intends to be a lawyer. He does however have a short temper, and can snap very easily.
Relationships: Camille and Emma's brother.

Looks: Petite and athletic with a little muscle. Tanned skin that contrast to her inky eyes. Shoulder lenght coal black hair that is cut in a straight line and triangluar bangs of the same colour
Personality: Tom-boy. An ABSOLUTE tom-boy. She hates fancy dressed girls with high heels and doll faces. She secretly envies them though. She is friends with all the boys but only that. She has never in her life had a boyfriend and even if she doesn't show it, all she wants to hear is 'I love you'. She has a really short temper and fires up really quickly. She can also be stubborn as a donkey and never gives up on her oppinion. Oh, did I meantion that she loves eating?
Other information: Has a scar on her arm and another one on her stomach from gang fights on the streets.

Looks: Black hair that is usually kept in a ponytail, pale, sea-blue eyes. Usually sticks to a regular graphic tee, nothing too fancy. Wears a bit of eyeliner, too.
Personality: Dark humored, but can be kind. If angry, she can yell without taking a breath. She definitely stands out from everyone else in a way, and she is only kind to friends, if she has any.
Other information? Her best friend (boy) died a long time ago, and she never really got over that.

"Camille, please come out and have some fun," her sister begged her, already in her bikini.

Camille's blue eyes flickered up from the book she had her nose buried in. "I am having fun."

Sighing, Emma paused for a moment before snatching the book from Camille's hand.

"HEY!" protested Camille, jumping up from the bed in their hotel room. Her eyes flashed in annoyance. "All right, I'll come to the beach, just give me my book."

"Do you promise?" Emma asked, her eyes begging.

"I promise," sighed Camille running into the bathroom to get changed into her bathing suit. Her sister wouldn't approve as it covered everything, and even came with an attachable skirt.

Still slightly reluctant, Camille followed Emma out to the beaches, though she did love the fresh air. Her anger evaporated as she got comfy on the sand and she opened her book, allowing the sunlight to keep her warm.

Emma sighed. Her sister was such a bore sometimes. Who brought a book to the beach? She perched herself up on her chair, she wouldn't lay on the sand. Her eyes scanned the beach, looking for anyone of interest.

Personality: Bubbly, sociable and very talkative. He tends to say whatever pops into his head at the time. Because of this, he can come across as a bit of a loud-mouth.
Other information? His parents divorced when he was really young, so although he likes talking to people a lot, he never really talks about himself.

Emma nudged Camille with her foot when she saw the boy approaching. She pushed the sunglasses down her nose, so that he couldn't miss her big blue eyes. She'd carefully applied some waterproof mascara, and some white eyeshadow.

Camille sighed, and looked up from the book. She noted the boy, and she noted the fact that her sister was acting like an idiot. "Emma, you have a boyfriend back home, remember?"

"Camille, you know what they say... What happens in Miami, stays in Miami."

Rolling her eyes, Camille rolled over onto her stomach. That wasn't how the saying went but when her sister got an idea in her head, it stuck.

A part of her wanted to cover her ears to avoid hearing her sisters fake, sugary, sweet voice greet him. She'd never understand that girly act.

Emma pushed her sunglasses from her nose onto her blonde hair, which she had spent hours on in the morning. "Hey there," she said sweetly, sounding much to Camille like nails on a chalk board.

Blake grinned at the girl, "Hey, mind if I join you?" He settled down on the sand. He glanced over at the other girl, but she seemed absorbed in what she was reading, so he figured it was best not to disturb her. Concentrating of the first one again, he extended a hand, "My name's Blake. And you have stunning eyes." Which was true. Mostly. Her eyes were blue, which was nice, but 'nice' wasn't the kind of powerful adjective that Blake usually used.

He noticed that she was wearing make-up too, but previous experience told him not to comment on it. Girls didn't appear to like it when he did.

"No, not at all," Emma purred, reminding Camille of a cat that had just had a nice bowl of milk.

Rolling her eyes at her sister, Camille did look up from her book to great the boy. She wasn't rude. In fact, if he was nice enough, she wouldn't mind getting to know him a bit.

"Hey, I'm Camille," she said.

"I'm Emma," Emma interrupted, not wanting Blake to pay too much attention to her sister. "And I thank you for the compliment. What brings you out here? Are you local or visiting like us?"

Camille shifted her weight to roll onto her side a bit. Emma definitely knew how to drive her up a wall. The fact that she had a boyfriend waiting at home for her and she was willing to flirt here was enough to make her want to throw her in the ocean and ruin her hair.

But she wouldn't do that. Because as annoyed as she was at her sister, she wouldn't want to hurt her feelings.

"Nice to meet you both," grinned Blake. He smiled especially at Camille, she obviously hadn't been that absorbed in her book after all.
"And I'm a local," he pointed to one of the large houses overlooking the water behind them, "I live there. Where are you staying?"

He leaned back onto the sand a little. The girls looked very much alike - probably twins - yet so far their personalities were quite different. Emma appeared to be flirting with him; and as for Camille, well, he didn't really know.

A girl named Amber was suddenly rushing, pacing the steps to where two people are standing which apparently Camille and a certain guy.

This girl was wearing a hat (yeah, like usual summer attires), shades and a white c-thru top that flows mid-thigh and a bikini underneath it.

Suddenly, she bumped into Camille and a guy and they fell flat on the sand. "Aww!" she shrieked. She put her hand on her head shaking it a little.

Camille gave Blake a warm smile. He didn't seem like the typical guy.

She'd opened her mouth to respond but Emma had beat her to the punch.

"We're staying at the hotel right on the beach," Emma said pointing towards the big five star hotel just behind the drink stands.

Rolling her eyes, Camille began to read her book again. Even if Blake was nice, she wasn't going to get a word in edge wise with Emma.

"Do you enjoy it here? What's your girlfriend like?" Emma asked.

Gritting her teeth, Camille tried to focus on her book. Emma was just trying to fish around. She HAD a boyfriend back home. She wanted to scream that out, but she had more composure than that.

Camille didn't have long to seethe in her anger as suddenly someone ran into her.

"Ahh," she yelled softly, rolling over. Luckily, she wasn't hurt. But she was confused. Who ran into her?

"Ahh, that's a nice hotel," Blake smiled, "I work at the waterfront cafe there on weekends, maybe I'll see you there."

Blake smiled broadly, Emma really was flirting with him, "I don't recall mentioning a girlfriend," he replied vaguely, "And you? Do you have a boyfriend?"

Blake had a sudden urge to just flop back on the sand. He was getting a little tired of flirting. Emma probably wouldn't be too happy to hear that. Mentally he shook himself, 'You aren't bored yet' he snapped inwardly. Turning his head to Camille he asked, "Are you staying for the summer?"

"No, no boyfriend," Emma lied, grinning. She ignored the look Camille shot her way, and smiled even more. That was when the thing happened. The girl. The disaster.

"What is your problem?" she snapped, wiping the sand off herself. As specks had landed all over her. "And what is with your hair?"

"Emma, you're being rude," Camille said shooting the girl and Blake an apologetic smile. "We are staying for the summer." Camille informed Blake, turning towards the girl. "Are you okay?" she asked, genuinely concerned.

Her sister was so rude sometimes, it just drove her absolutely crazy.

Blake watched wide-eyed as the girl flew into Camille. With a grin, he helped her up, "You okay?" he queried, suppressing a laugh. The whole situation was rather funny.

Blake dusted himself off lightly. Once you had gotten used to living on the beach front, sand no longer bothered you that much. It got everywhere anyway, so there was really no point in trying to get rid of it. When he and his mother had first moved here, Blake had been stunned to find the sand scattered throughout the house, sometimes in large patches, and sometimes just a few grains, invisible to the eye, but scratchy on your skin.

Smiling he watched Emma attempted to wipe the sand off her skin, "No point in that," he told her, grinning, "We're on a beach, you're going to get sandy anyway."

"Anyway," he said turning back to the new girl, "I'm Blake."

Emma lifted her head up in annoyance. "Not if I can help it," she responded.

"You won't come for a swim later?" Camille asked. "It's getting hot, I think I'll go out for a swim, soon."

"Not a chance," Emma said. "I didn't bring my brush. Tomorrow, maybe."

Emma rolled her eyes, watching the scene unfold. It wasn't funny. She had no idea why Blake found it amusing. She could see it in his eyes, that he had a little bit. It was annoying. That girl was stupid. Wasn't it common sense to watch where you were going?

Sighing, Camille turned away from her twin. She'd seen that look on Emma's face many times. The girl thought the universe revolved around her. One day, she'd be shocked to find out it didn't.

Blake looked back and forth between Camille and Emma, they seemed to have a little tension between them, though Blake couldn't really figure out why.

"Well, I for one would like to go for a swim," he announced happily, "I'll join you if you like," he assured Camille. "Sure you won't come?" he asked Emma. She seemed annoyed and a little sulky now, and she was a lot less fun when she was annoyed.

"Yes, I'm sure," said Emma, her head high in the air. She got up briefly to rearrange her chair so she could lie on it, stomach down to get a bit of a tan on the back. She'd roll over in a bit.

"Let's do it," Camille suggested, a spark coming into her eyes. She was happy Emma had made her come today. Swimming was fun, and she could read any time.

Camille arched an eyebrow at her sister's childish behaviour and winked at her. Turning to Blake she said, "race you," before taking off leaving Emma sulking behind about not getting to hang out with the guy.

The wind in her face felt amazing, and unlike the other girl, she was careful to watch where she was going. She jumped over a sand castle, ran around some people and was even careful not to tread on the sleeping dog at someone's side.

She didn't look or see where Blake was. Because she was doing what she loved. She was running. And she felt free.
