"Well, who else would've taken it?" Grace asked. She cast a glance over the room. It sent a small chill down her spine. This room just wasn't very welcoming. 'Why can't I concentrate?' she asked herself.

Grace sighed. Her bow seemed so distant now. "I'll be outside," she mumbled. She trudged up the stairs. She found the large doors to the castle and went outside. She plopped down right next to the lake.

"Well then. The word to make fire is brisingr. Can you say that? Brisingr. But first you have to focus on what you want to do. Try lighting the fireplace over there. Focus on it, know what you want to happen, imagine it happening. Then say brisingr."

Harry laughed, "I can just do this without much thought," he waved his wand, "Incendio!" And the fireplace caught fire, "Easy."

"Ahem. I believe I was showing you how to do it WITHOUT a wand." With a gesture and a word in the ancient language, Arya put out the fire, then took Harry's wand. "Now try again. Don't worry, it gets easier with practice." She dropped Harry's wand out the window.

Harry raised his eyebrows, "Accio wand!" He said and his wand came back to him.

Excuse me, but you need a wand to cast an Accio spell. In Harry Potter, you need a wand to cast ANY spell, including Accio.

"Well, what happens if you lose your wand? And I have a valid argument for both points. Haven't you noticed the portals appearing everywhere? One could suck you up while you were in bed, or in the bath, or at some other point where you didn't have your wand with you. Then where would you be? You would be in a different world, without your wand. And more to the point, you agreed to this in the first place."

"There's no reason why a portal wouldn't be able to suck you up while you were sleeping. And besides, this kind of magic is more useful. Is there anything you can do with your stick to make a tree shape part of itself into a house? Anything you can do to hit a moving target aside from casting the spell multiple times and hoping you get lucky? Anything you can do to see what's happening in a different place? Anything you can do that allows you to mentally communicate with another person? All that and more can be done with my kind of magic."

Grace sighed while she sat by the lake. Where could her bow have gone? She commanded the water to pull her into the lake. She watched as water flooded all around her. She went to the bottom and walked in the direction of the merpeople.

Flarekit saw his wings and gasped, "What did that *beep* Two-leg do to me?"

Alex sat by the lake sadly. She was bored without her crazy twin brother and wished more than ever that he was with her.

Firan flew outside and saw two girls.

Grace talked with the merpeople for awhile. She explained how she got her, who she was, blah blah blah. They were actually pretty interesting. She liked thaws people. They suddenly were looking up and pointing at something above. Seeing clearly through the water and above it, Grace saw a green dragon. Excusing herself, she shot up through the water and bobbed above on the surface, perfectly dry.

Firan landed on Alex's head, "Who are you?" He asked laying down in her lap.

Alex smiled, "I am Alex. You are very cute," she said patting the dragon.

Firan snorted, "Thanks I am Firan."

Grace climbed out of the lake. She was on the opposite side of Alex's. She walked around to Alex's side. She saw that the green dragon was lying down in her lap.

Grace raised an eyebrow and smiled. She sat down next to Alex. "Hi, I'm Grace," she said. Maybe this little bundle of scales could brighten her day.

Grace laughed a little. "We smell?" She looked over at Alex. "Five bucks he'll say seaweed. What do you think?" she asked. She stuck out her hand for Alex to shake if she accepted.

Really? I picked those things exactly because I knew they were in the Eragon books and because I had heard nothing about them in Harry Potter.
