I was surfing the forums and scrolled over a person's name acacia on Miami_heat's "Free Mo!" My computer started downloading a file with the name acacia. something I don't know what it was. Now my pc needs to be looked at.

I don't think any of the users who actively participate would try to bring malice. It is possible someone is trying to use this site for malicious intent.

Oh my. This sounds bad.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet, it could just be a bizarre coincidence, but I would say we need to wait for further conformation from Ian.

I don't know how those things work, but it does sound like a possible problem.

@phoenixfox Did you press CTRL+S? Or right-click -> Save link as...?

If the file isn't a virus, then that's okay. Do you know what format it's in (Word document, Powerpoint, etc)? That could help.

@phoenixfox

We've audited our systems entirely and haven't found any viruses or trojans located in any Egg Cave files. This may have been a freak thing.

Please contact us directly (eggcave.com/contact) if this ever happens again.
